Kinda supports what we know. We have an epidemic and part of the problem is because we accept it. 28% of african american men are obese and 50% of african american women are obese.

Are the women more obese cause "chubby chasers" just settle for that kind of mess like is talked about on BGOL? When 1 out of 2 of our women are OBESE, not overweight(you know just a little "thick"), we talking OBESE, fat, sloppy, there is a problem.

Its about time we have some standards in our community, cause it is killing us.

Amen. I once was a chubby chaser. All three of my girl friends were obese. I've woke up for the 08 year and said, "it's time for me to stop fucking and promoting obese females, unless they are in the process of gaining control again". I once was blind but now I see.

I'm most disturbed by the amount of young teenagers I see who are obese. Its so common where I live, I often wonder if the kids even expect anything else? Thats what scares me the most when ill health indicators become the norm there's little incentive to change.

Fast food, shit is just too cheap and too abundant. People don't realize just how bad it is for you. I watched a friend go to the market, look at the fat content on olive oil and put it back, then go to McDonalds and get a burger and greasy ass fries. If people stopped to realize how bad fast food is, they would be equally disgusted and offended.

I agree with the fast food being to accessible. Last year, I used to go at least 2-3 times to one of these places a week: whataburger, taco bell, williams chicken, Yes Buffet, Sonic, Jack n the box, and pachos. I was throwing my damn money away and getting fat each visit.
Now, I go grocery shopping [saving more money] and use the p90x pylometrics, cardio-x, ab-ripper x, kenpo, and yoga. My attitude is more upbeat, more energy during the day, and I use a belt to keep my pants up.

Wikipedia ~ "BMI

BMI, or body mass index, is a simple and widely used method for estimating body fat.[2] In epidemiology BMI alone is used as an indicator of prevalence and incidence.

BMI was developed by the Belgian statistician and anthropometrist Adolphe Quetelet.[3] It is calculated by dividing the subject's weight by the square of his/her height, typically expressed either in metric or US "Customary" units:

Metric: BMI = kg / m2

Where kg is the subject's weight in kilograms and m is the subject's height in metres.

US/Customary: BMI = lb * 703 / in2

Where lb is the subject's weight in pounds and in is the subject's height in inches.

The current definitions commonly in use establish the following values, agreed in 1997 and published in 2000:[4]

* A BMI less than 18.5 is underweight
* A BMI of 18.5–24.9 is normal weight
* A BMI of 25.0–29.9 is overweight
* A BMI of 30.0–39.9 is obese
* A BMI of 40.0 or higher is severely (or morbidly) obese
* A BMI of 35.0 or higher in the presence of at least one other significant comorbidity is also classified by some bodies as morbid obesity.[5][6]

In a clinical setting, physicians take into account race, ethnicity, lean mass (muscularity), age, sex, and other factors which can affect the interpretation of BMI. BMI overestimates body fat in persons who are very muscular, and it can underestimate body fat in persons who have lost body mass (e.g. many elderly).[1] Mild obesity as defined by BMI alone is not a cardiac risk factor, and hence BMI cannot be used as a sole clinical and epidemiological predictor of cardiovascular health.[7]"
