You know the one that Gerard Butler and other actors did for the movie 300. My boss has been doing it for about 3 weeks now and the change is REMARKABLE.
And he's a very fit guy but he looks like he's lost about 15 lbs. already. I looked up some videos and it seems incredibly intense.
Just wondered if any of you guys tried it or are willing to.
Oh and an assist on the video embedding would be greatly appreciated.

I've tried and completed the 300 workout, but I TOOK A FEW BREAKS in between. This routine is no joke!!!! You have build your endurance over time to complete the routine nonstop. Shoot the 50 floor wipes and the 50 box jumps will have you sucking up air!

What's with all the hoopla? All you have to do to achieve a nice body is diet, rest and dedication. Been doing my thing in the gym long before this 300 workout bullshit.

I don't know where the hell I would do this at. I don't have that much room in the gym. Or the equipment to do it at home. So to any of those you have done this workout. WHERE the hell do y'all do it?

The workout is no joke, but your body can't keep up with the workout they did in the movie for an extended period. I used to do a workout similar to that when I was younger and it would bust my ass, but I would always burnout after twelve weeks of doing it consistently. I have modified my workout to make it less intense and still reap great results which I do in my home. The thing is you need a lot of leisure time to recuperate from real intense workouts.

I've done this workout. Listen, use common sense. I'm in great shape, and even I had to break the workout routine into sets. Here's how I did it. Guaranteed same results, just makes more sense until you get to that fitness level.
Here's my version, TAKE A 1 MINUTE BREAK BETWEEN !
3 sets of 15 pull-ups (overhand)=45 total
3 sets of 15 deadlifts (135) =45 total
1 set of 50 push-ups
3 sets of 15 box jumps
3 sets of 15 floor wipes
25 clean & press ( use a dumbbell if your gym doesn't have kettle bells) each arm do 25
3 sets of 15 pull-ups (underhand)
2 sets of 50 sit-ups
1 set of 50 push-ups
NOW YOUR DONE !
That's the kind of workout that can really help you get ripped. Try mixing in these kinds of high intensity circuit routines and see how your body starts to chew up body fat. This is not about getting you strong, but about endurance and shocking the system. If you want to win the Arnold's strongman comp then this is not for you. If you don't want to look like most of the guys that win the strongmen type competitions, and are more concerned w/fitness, and lean muscle.. give it a try.
Here is the thing... it is a TIMED workout. Meaning, everyone can finish it... but the goal is to do it as fast as possible. Will it take you 20 minutes or 40?

It's not a gimmick. It's a regimen. One of many.
It's actually very similar to what I used to do with Toni Villany at XPE Sports (http://www.bgol.us/board/www.xpesports.com), just not as intense and you get to take breaks.
And it's not advised to do this forever. My boss has only been doing it for 3 weeks and I think he should stop because he looks like he's about to disappear.
Gerard Butler only did this for 4 months and didn't start exercising again after an 8 month break because he was so worn out.

there is no such thing as a 300 workout!! Does excersices (TEST) were made to keep on track the actors, to see how much improvement they made on their bodies. Half of the webMeds (trainers) couldnt make it. Plus if u eatin junk all the time and doin this excersices is like going on a bike 100 mph w no helmet. I recommend put urself under professional recommendations on the best program that will fit best ur health limits. But that just me

its like being at the gym except you can pause when you get tired. And you get real tired at first. But after you start to get use to it. I went from doing 1 Pull Up, Now I do 8-10. It aint for body builders. I also do a 1 Mile Jog every day.
I went from 202 to 196 in 30 days. I aint trying to kill myself but the shit does keep me on track.
I got a Calorie Counter Watch for 35 bucks at Walmart.
I make sure I don't eat more then 1400 Calories in a 24 hours period.
I make sure I Burn More then 3000 in a 24 Hour Period.

Yeah I know it's a test of strength and endurance, but many fitness fanatics do it as a short term workout.
My boss is in extremely great shape. He takes MMA classes and anything extreme. I was just surprised when I saw him today because he's really thinning out and he's been doing it along with his normal routine for 3 weeks. So I wanted to know if anyone has done it and seen the results.

How in the hell you tear 2 ligs in ONE KNEE without playing in the NFL?
I can understand tearing 1 ligament, but in order to tear 2 you have to be an Army Ranger jumping out of planes or something.

a calorie counter isnt a bad idea. which one you got?
my current new problem is that i just recently quit smoking using chantix, after about a month i know find my self snacking on candy.. my health conscious side tells me NO PUT IT DOWN!!!
my just quick smoking side says GO AHEAD, ITS BETTER THAN A SMOKE
so my calorie intake for the past two weeks is bad, real bad
a calorie counter might help me get back on track

nah, I know how you torn your knee, the force of his body weight was not supported by the ACL for less than a second, and when the ACL tore, the MCL tried to support the function of the ACL, and just ripped from the bone. I've heard of people tearing their ACL as easy as stepping out of the shower on a slippery floor, lost their balance in one leg, while trying to regain balance in the other leg, thus tearing the ligament. People gotta remember, ligaments don't grow, muscle does. That's why it's important to be at a good weight, and not be overweight. If you carry more than 20 extra lbs without purpose ( meaning if you are a NFL linebacker you should) then you should drop that weight. Me personally, I've been between 225-240 for the last 5 years. I'm currently working to drop to 205-200, permenantly. I'm 35, when I get to 45, I'll be down to 190. Extra weight is a real killer.

Currently I am not lifting weights. If you read my post, this is the part of the year where I take a break from lifting. I take off 8 weeks (NOV & DEC). I only use my body weight. I am doing a NAVY SEAL type workout. I run 2-3 hard miles ( treadmill, on an inlcine to work my legs) on MON-WED-FRI. I do 4 sets of 25 push-ups, 4 sets of 15 dips, 4 sets of 25 sit-ups, 4 sets of 10-15 pull-ups on MON-WED-FRI. On my last sets I go for as many as I can get, like I did 18 pull-ups tonight ! I swim everyday for 30 minutes. ON MON-WED-FRI it's double cardio, because I run and swim on the same day. After I swim, right when I get outta the pool, I do 1 set of 50 push-ups while my body is heavy, and 1 set of 50 crunches. It's 1:30 am, I'll be in the pool at 5:30am, gotta know what you want, why you want it, and how to keep it. I'll be 200 lbs by Jan 2008 !

You know what after seeing this post I went to the gym to try and finish one circuit. I died out at the dead lift. I did like 25 dl's before I skipped it to the 50 push-ups. Finished the 50 push-ups and I ended my 300workout at the box jumps. :smh: and I thought I was in shape because I workout. I'll build up to finishing the complete work-out over time.

Thought we went through this already when this was first posted, some kats were like "FuckThat!"' (while braging about eating dumb shit) and nobody was stepping up or saying they were gonna romp with this shit;
I did it a few times and that shit wasnt a joke, especially them JumpUps that really work that middle.
Stay with the pullup/push up/callesthetics/ab shits on the regular anyway and have maintain generally the same weight (with more muscle now) for like 10+ yrs or so;

I was playing basketball at a gym in Cedar Grove and I got a steal and I tried to break away and this cat was trailing me trying to catch up and block my shot from behind. I went up for the lay up and he jumped on my back (I'm about 6'4" and this nigga was all of 5'11")and when I came down my left leg planted in the floor (for balance) and the full weight of his body came down on my back and I heard my shit go rrriiipp !! He actually flipped over me and I tried to get up, but I couldn't stand. My knee was in excruciating pain and that shit swole up immediately. It was the most painful thing that I have ever been through in my life.

Damn bro!
I hope you make it all the way back!
Make sure your insurance company will reimburse for the right amount of therapy/rehab; they'll try to shortchange you and tell you that the moment you can walk pain free, then they aren't gonna pay for any more rehab; they should be paying for rehab up until you GET YOUR STRENGTH BACK, these are 2 different levels of rehab, and they'll try to cut corners and shortchange you.

I just heard about this and decided to try it. It is tough, but I made it through it. I was worn out and had to lay out on the floor of my basement for about 30 minutes. I was worried that no one would come home and I would be stuck down there.
I can't imagine doing this for a prolonged period. I use the P90X program which I think is much more sustainable. I have been doing P90X for about 2.5 months and the results are awesome. I'm 44 years old and the wifey is mad because her coworkers were talking about my arms and abs.
