The coach at my job (he says hes a certified personal trainer) says he could put me on a weight loss plan that will help me lose 10 lbs in two weeks. He even goes onto say it wouldn't be all water weight. Now, I am truly invested in my weight loss this year. However, I think he's full of shit. Personal trainers (and fitness gurus), weigh in: what's the safest amount of weight a women should lose per week on a GOOD weight loss plan?
healthy weight loss is 1 to 1.5 lbs a week.
if this is the first week then i can not account for water weight.
10lbs in 2 weeks not only sounds like bullshit but it sounds unhealthy

Normal easy weight loss is bout 1.5 lbs a week. HOWEVER, more drastic solutions make 10lbs in 2 weeks easy as hell(including water loss). I have seen people do it easily on low calorie keto diets, first the water comes off then the fat.
It wont be easy and the only problem with these fast fixes is people tend to binge when coming off. If you do the FAST FIX that he may lay out for you THEN follow it with a diet that is part of a healthy lifestyle you will be cool.
I have seen plenty of people get in shape super fast by hitting the gym twice daily and strictly, STRICTLY dieting. The results these people get in 2 weeks is almost the same as normal folks get in 8 weeks taking it slow, most people do not have the balls to do this, plus like I said the binging at the end is a fucking serious problem with most.

C/S ^^^ You can lose it, but can you keep it off? A lot that will be water in the beginning Jo. I've seen 1o lbs or more in a short time when I worked with overweight diabetics, but most of them were extremely sedentary so even putting them on moderate calorie restriction and getting them to walk made a big change. That huge initial weight loss was rarely sustained.
1-2 lbs is average a week as mentioned and there will be some peaks and valleys- some stable weeks, some weeks you may lose more or less.
You'll get there Jo.

Yeah. I always tell people they do have an option of a "quick fix", but it isnt an EASY FIX.
With women the results can be really something, especially if they are not that far overweight, say 20lbs or so. I mean within a week coworkers and family and friends are commenting, where with a "normal" approach this may take 4 weeks.
I have seen women in the 140-150lb range totally turn around in 2 weeks of very hard training and super strict dieting. IMHO training is essential to make sure the most fat is lost, and the body dont see a need to come after muscle as much if you are using it, fat is there for energy when food is not available, make you body use it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I mean in a week your face is even much slimmer, its amazing. Just make sure he gives you a sensible meal plan afterwards and remember its OK to have 1-2 cheat days a week, just as long as you keep a target weight in mind(a weight you refuse to go over again, usually within 5lbs of you ideal weight).
But let me tell you, few people can make it past the first day of severe calorie restriction AND working out tough. That is the domain of bodybuilders, athletes, models, actors ,etc.
It wont be easy, but hell yeah you can do it. 1-2 lbs is the norm, but I can tell you I seen people totally have a different look in 14 days.
post the quick fix
i dont think i would try it but i'm interested in seeing what it is...

BAsically its a cycle/keto diet extended from 5 days to 10 or 14 or so.
Jumbo eggs, turkey drumsticks, chicken drumsticks, chicken thighs, turkey thighs, turkey bacon, a can of tuna(oil) with mayo every other day(if you want it but never everyday).
Calories up to 1000. Two meals a day. Two workouts a day. Workouts, one upon rising and one in the evening, 30 minutes each. Yeah, its hard but we dont want the body to go to sleep, it needs to stay revved up.
No its not a healthy diet for the long all, its a quick fix. Thats it. It will help burn FAT along with exercise.
Non decaf green tea and/or coffee to keep energy levels up throughout since most people aint used to the calories deficit and the workouts. I swear by these keto diets, they do work wonders.
Keto diets just attack fat and spare muscle like no other, even on severe restriction. The 10-14 day is a quick fix, but I swear people get exceptional results if they stick it out and refeed the carbs when done.
Keto diets for cosmetic reasons and quick fix  , for life :smh:

I haven't even weighed myself in the process, but I am going more by how I feel and how my clothes fit (kinda superficial, but I'm sticking with it...)
I guess, for progress sake, I'll do the horrible weigh in...maybe doing my inches more so weight would make me feel better...gotta get rid of those DD's!

 Inches Jo, weight fluctuates but if you are going to take it take it same time everyday with no clothes first thing in the morning.

For what exactly? How many pounds are you trying to lose and how quick? How many calories do you consume now to hold your weight where it is at? How many days you free to train and for how long?

etc
similar to the gamertag threads

Weight: 200 lbs.
Age: 33
Height: 5'8"
Daily Calorie Intake: 1800-2200 (depending)
Workout Routine:
Used to be 3 days lifting and 3 days cardio. lately almost non existent.
as of recent, i lift saturday and sunday on a 2 day split. cardio maybe once or twice weekly.
i dont drink soda. i dont eat candy. my diet is pretty clean.
my comfortable weight is at max 190lbs. would like to get to 180lbs. not in a rush to loose the weight, but the quicker would allow me to get back into my old regiment of staying fit.
the problem for me was not the holidays either. my problem stems from when i quit smoking back in sept/oct. since then i find myself snacking more and exercising less.

Jagi.
1300 calories isnt so bad, is it? You wont be like
protein/fat diet during the day, and carb up after your evening workouts. Lets say 100-120 grams of carbs TOPS, divided into 2 meals after you workout. One is liquid, 50 grams of fast acting crabs and protein(no fat, just trace), the other, bout 1.5 hrs later should be solid and consist of another 50-60 grams, but of complex carbs/protein/low fat.
6 days is optimal for you to workout trying to lose, but you can do 4. You must keep your body working and using muscle.
As people already know I favor dips/pulls/chins/squats/close grip benches for workouts. Compound movements involving many muscle groups and functional strength.
If your workouts are intense this will have you at your max weight in bout 3 weeks or so. After that its on you how fast or slow you want to take the next 10lbs.
I know some people talk about the evening eating thing, but you are having intense workouts in the evening, your body has basically been without carbs for 20 hours or so, Your body will soak the carbs up, there wont be an excess so that body wont look to store fat, plus you wont go apeshit like many people do without their carbs.
Not to drastic at all, you are trying to get that body to burn bodyfat as energy, not carbs.

You can safely loss about 2 lbs a week, 3 is the max. Some people tend to drop 4 lbs maybe the first week, because their digestive system flushes the water from beneath their skin. Listen to me, as a mod on this board, i consider myself an expert in my profession, take the time to lose weight in moderation. As you lose weight, everything about your body changes, your internal organs adapt to the changes, especially your heart, lunges, kidneys, and liver. These organs do not have to work as hard as they use to, as you drop weight. It pisses me off to hear stupidity. Here's the perfect goal, lose 2 lbs a week, for one year, and that's 104 lbs. Lose 1 lbs a week and that's 52 lbs.
Be safe.
