In High School I could dunk. They were one handers, but i could dunk. Now I am trying to get my hops back while losing weight and getting in shape. Does anyone have any workouts or programs that will help me get my legs back. i also have to drop some weight. Thanks

You have to squat. If you work your way up to 2x your body weight on the squat you will be able to dunk again.
Work it 2 times a week. Stretch alot, b4 and after. Also, on days of squat work calve raises. Reps should be 5-8(with a decent weight) and the movements should be explosive.
On days off do 100 jumps in sets of 10. It sounds funny but this does help. Pick a target and with 2 hands jump for it, land and explode again trying to get as high as you can, 10 times in a row. Rest a minute and hit it again.
After that jump rope for bout 10 minutes.
You need a strong explosive posterior chain to get your dunk on and the squats will help you, the deeper the better, plus "doing" the movement has been known to help.
Good luck.

True indeed. Calf raise machines & also doing them solo on stairs or on flat surfaces with a set of dumbbells or a barbell = the truth.
Back in the 90s I used to do alot of solid surfaces & calf raise machines (great results) ... as I hooped 4 days/week and was streetballin' alot (3 seasons out of the year)

Air Alert works. I know this from experience. It helped my bounce and first step speed.
