Dr. Cameron Webb would be the first black doctor to serve as a voting member of Congress and his area of Virginia’s first black representative since 1891. I saw his ad and it seems like a strong message and the best time to be running as a doctor.

Bro - thanks for making this thread....Very much needed....

Question for @Rembrandt Brown and others into politics:

would you rather vote for a democrat that doesn’t care about specifically addressing so-called black issues but is about inclusion for ALL or a republican that has specific policy to address so-called black issues?

False choice. The Democrats I have supported this year, like Bernie Sanders, AOC, Jamaal Bowman and Charles Booker, support policies that help black people and sometimes benefit black people disproportionately. I'm not playing your game about specifics where if a bill gives every black person $10 and every white person $1, you' dismiss it because of white people getting a dollar. You might as well put me on ignore if that's the only conversation you want to have because I've addressed you on it several times and it isn't worth more of my time.

The proportions are never that high
Stop it
Its an even split at best
And mostly Black people get the least but hey "they are included doe"

I'm not arguing those are the actual proportions-- I intentionally used exaggerated proportions to illustrate the stupidity of the underlying argument.

If black people are helped-- nevermind helped disproportionately-- that should be the focus, not stubborn and unrealistic resentment because Latinos or poor white people or any other group also benefits. Policies like the ACA, Medicare for All, universal housing, a thousand other examples-- They don't just include black people but disproportionately benefit black people. We live in a society where black people usually benefit the least, so xfactor's "nobody else can benefit" opposition to these achievable proposals is just myopic counterproductive bullshit.

There is no false choice. You are just a globalist. It is OK to admit it.

I care about my nation of people first and foremost, the founders of this land, the most oppressed and the most owed.

once that occurs then I’ll worry about the rest, who already got there’s.

"Admit it."

Of course I'm a globalist.

Ask before you accuse.

And I align with all oppressed peoples because solidarity is how we are going to win.

With Jamaal Bowman, Cori Bush, and Mondaire Jones joining Congress, we are about to see some serious black power in Congress that will be unprecedented. Bookmark this thread and contribute updates because these are people you need to know about.

Marquita Bradshaw scores upset win in Tennessee Democratic Senate primary

Memphis environmentalist, Black activist and single mom Marquita Bradshaw won the Democratic primary for an open U.S. Senate seat in Tennessee on Thursday.

Bradshaw defeated Nashville attorney and former Army helicopter pilot James Mackler, who had snagged an endorsement from the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and others.

Bradshaw will face former U.S. Ambassador to Japan Bill Hagerty, who defeated Nashville trauma surgeon Manny Sethi in the Republican primary.

Bradshaw and Hagerty are seeking to succeed Republican Sen. Lamar Alexander, who is retiring. Republicans have held both Senate seats in Tennessee since 1994.

I voted for her. She doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of winning.

The big money never got behind her, or she didn't go out and get it. I never once saw her on MSNBC or CNN, and other than a few local stories, I didn't see much about her nationally.
