No lies, man for Ida I was putting info in my family group chat.

Moms would be like, where you got that from, they ain’t saying that.

“We got a hood meteorologist on bgol, we don’t do that news crap”
I nominate 4 Dimensional for the BGOL Lifetime Porngressional Medal of Honor for his contributions to weather-climate updates. Without his model focused graphic displays of what the fuck is about to happen - most of us wouldn't be fully prepared in advance. I salute you sir. Can I get a second vote of support???

Hope it doesn't hit anywhere, hate hurricane season!
Bgol meteorologist always keep me up on game though so that's always comforting!
I hear you, but hurricanes are as needed as sunlight for life on earth. They take heat from the ocean and radiate back to space via the low pressure vortex. They also put massive amounts of oxygen and carbon dioxide into the top layer of the ocean, where we get most of our fish and oxygen we breathe from. Every drought east of the Mississippi and many in the west are broken by these tropical storms. I know they are destructive, and we have dropped the number that die from these storms by over 90% in the past century.

It is still at 130 mph. Forecast models do not project this storm's intensity to increase as it will be entering an environment with less favorable conditions.

High-resolution visible satellite image that shows the inside of the eye well. This aspect of a hurricane is extremely challenging to reproduce in numerical modeling because we do not fully understand the physics. Inside the eye, you can see meso-vortices, which contribute to the intensity of hurricanes.

I don't wish the trauma after a devastating hurricane on anyone. the road to recovery is hard and long. its depressing seeing debris all over and wondering where to start and it takes years to get back the greenery, place looks like a bomb went off.
