So it looks like they escaped the worse case scenario by a lot, but still A LOT of damage.

That itself becomes a issue.

The Authorities did what they had to do to prepare for a worst case scenario. They did thir job so know one can bitch and complain that they were not prepared.

Worst Case Scenario didn’t happen.

The Authorities will continue giving warnings for future storms and over time, more and more people will ignore the warnings cuz they saw the last few hurricanes did not do that much damage.

It’s like I have said before in this thread. It’s always the Hurricane that mofos underestimate.

That is the one that comes thru like a Nuclear Bomb.

We will wait and see….

It's not. There's multiple vids and pics posted about it. This was before Milton touched down. Was one of the many tornadoes

Actually didn't even know this was Avenir. I was in that subdivision 2 yrs ago looking at the model homes, toured that whole hood. My wife's family lives in Boynton and Wellington, like 20m away. We looked at that Avenir to move to during Covid. Just wild that we almost moved there. Still would though

I agree. People are always looking for a scapegoat instead of using common sense and getting out when they can.

I get some just don't have the resources to get out, but those that can should!!!

All those tornados just unlocked a new fear ahead of these hurricanes I'm sure!!

Sigh

if whatever tornado or strong way is strong enough to pick up a commercial dumpster and a pale a roof at that angle, while holding his own weight, suspended unbalanced

You’re so strong that it could lift that dumpster then why haven’t the house windows blown out, also there’s a second dumpster so how come that’s not sitting on somebody’s roof

Don't know where you live but until you've actually lived in an area or endured a hurricane or tornado, it's better to refrain from speaking.

I can't even recall how many I've been thru now. Maybe 4-5 tornado/hurricane events where I am.

Many times my home had minimal damage. I drive 5 mins and I see complete destruction of homes and buildings right in my area.

Beryl just did damage to my home and months before that another mini wind storm in April. These storms can pick up all kinds of objects many miles away and dump all kinds of shit many miles away.

That's atypical of these types of events.
There are people posting fake vids and some pics I saw for likes but I try to discern and verify stuff I share.
