Let’s be real. Who FSU beating? Not a single one of those teams they could stay with in 21 pts
People keep saying this because of the last 2 games. They played a rivalry game on the road with a backup qb and won. Every rivalry game last week was close, Bama won on a Hail Mary with their full team. This week they beat the 14th ranked team that avg over 500 yards a game with a true freshman. Defense wins championships and FSU defense is top notch and would be all over the teams in the playoffs. Plus, with all of the time to prepare, they would have made a game plan for the back up to succeed. They only had 1 week to prepare Tate for Florida, then 1 week for the freshman for the championship, and Tate was a game time decision.

as a bama fan i feel bad for fsu. they got a good team but they are nowhere near the same without travis injured. then looking at their schedule it was trash. the acc just wasn't good. it was made interesting but once bama beat the number 1 team who had won 29 straight games they chances were done. i will be interesting to see fsu vs georgia tho.

I don't think the committee can use Georgia wins from last year to determine this years seeding, Bama has been suspect all season that's why they've been ranked in the 8th-11th spot but just managed to pull off wins including the Georgia win so they are still the same team that Texas beat in week 2, they might be better than FSU but no way you can say they're better than Michigan, Washington and Texas

it was the fact Georgia was number 1 practically all year. I don’t think any team hasn’t looked suspect at some point this season. Bama is a much better team then they were week 2 they weren’t even set at a quarterback. Jalen Milroe went from getting benched to getting Heisman votes. Texas hasn’t faced a good team besides Oklahoma since the Bama game and they loss :dunno:

im sure everyone would agree that if say UGA or Michigan, were undefeated and conference champions and they were left out of the playoffs because the committee decided that the starting quarterback was hurt is the reason..............it would be a January 6th type insurrection across this entire country.

Bullshit look at Washington schedule and what they were ranked when Washington played them. Washington should have the number 1 spot over Michigan Bama got lucky with Auburn. They voted them in because a lot of people cannot fathom a playoff without Bama.
I'm not sure what your point is about Washington. They should be ranked 1st or their schedule was weak?

2 things put Bama in at the end of the day.

- FSU has no offense without Travis.

- Bama got the best win of the season by beating undefeated Georgia in Atlanta.

ACC was 6-4 against SEC this year. The SEC was living off past glory this year, the conference really wasn't shit top-to-bottom

The chair of the committee said FSU was left out because of their QB being hurt making them not the same team, BAMA got in at the #4 spot so if FSU QB was still healthy BAMA would have been left out. The committee wanted a SEC team in there so I think if FSU got in they would've put Georgia at #4 and left Texas and BAMA out

Only 4 slots this year the same wailing as in the last few years because somebody was bound to feel slighted. This year it's FSU. But their SOS was weaker than Alabama and 'bama beat the #1 team.

Mofos act like they can't remember a few years back when there WERE no playoffs and teams were bitching and moaning all over the place.

FSU Athletic Director:

Sucks for the kids

You work your ass off without your two QB's and win, and still get rejected

Plus it's costing the ACC money

When they put to that graphic saying the committee was going to look at the availability of coaches and players I knew they had found their reason to keep FSU out and put Bama (SEC) in
I think the Committee didn't want a repeat of Georgia vs TCU. Even though FSU has a good defense Texas, Michigan, and even Washington would beat FSU easily. Feel bad for FSU players. FSU has a chance to beat a 2 time champ in Georgia, if they beat them they can give the Committee the middle finger.
What happened last year when TCU played Michigan in the playoffs, TCU deserved to be in the playoffs

“Would’ve” doesn’t really mean shit in reality :dunno:

Now if FSU loses the bowl game they will say see they didn't deserve to be in the playoffs. No Power 5 school cares about non playoff bowl games. They don't need the money it's the small schools that get paid who go out and try hard.

lol.....so you saying the acc was better? sec got 6 schools in the top 25. 3 in the top 10. acc got 3 in the top 25. fsu best win was lsu which actually helped their overall opponent record. their overall opponent record was 67-76 ....fsu was the only team of the 8 powerhouses with a overall losing record. their schedule was trash

I can't believe the comments in here. But then I can. It's all emotion, no logic.

FSU had the FIFTIETH most difficult SOS. Fiftieth! Alabama was Third. It ain't rocket science.
No it's all logic, the committee chair said the only reason FSU didn't get in was because they lost their star QB so if FSU had their QB and 55th SOS they would've been in and BAMA would be out

Jordan Travis was a Heisman candidate on a #4 ranked undefeated team, it was bullshit for the committee to keep FSU out because he was missing so they would not have had any explanation for keeping them out if he was there

You don't understand. Their explanation was bullshit. Based on SOS and beating #1 there's no way they could keep Alabama out. There could have been 5 more undefeated teams with Heisman trophy candidates and still 'bama gets in. Just look at the SOS. Damn near every week 'bama was playing ranked teams. FSU? Not so much.

It's the committee's fault for coming out with that bullshit statement when they just could have said the above and been done with it.

I feel bad for the FSU players, for any team to go undefeated is a hard task and they were not rewarded for it. Like I said earlier if FSU beats Georgia with a backup it makes the Committee decision to keep them out look Idiotic. I wish the expanded playoff was this year, because each conference had some good teams this year.

So you think if Travis had been there for FSU that BAMA still would have gotten in? The committee said why but you're really saying they're lying..lol

The committee knows they will be back and what they pulled was a bigger “fuck you” to the NIL. With the legalization of sports betting, there is no line between sports and entertainment so you can no longer equate college sports with integrity (although in reality, they already lost it a while ago). That being said, Georgia not making it was worse.

Again, this was an NIL issue. The commissioner made it as clear as he possibly could without saying it. When has “player availability” ever been the factor in determining something in college sports?

Washington schedule was strong they should be higher than Michigan. The Logic that Travis being hurt FSU cant compete, was nonsense they just beat a ranked Louisville team and won the Conference undefeated. No way in hell should Bama be in the playoff over FSU. SEC was weak this year. Bama got in on reputation not because they deserved it.
