Rankings are subjective. Head to head the ACC was 6-4 against the SEC this year. I'm not sure what other metric you can use.
I agree that the SEC is normally the best conference but that wasn't the case this year. Almighty Bama got beat by 10 at home against the Big 12 champ.

We can't compare conferences without getting into the subjective. Do you judge a conference by it's best teams or it's worse?
For example...
Louisville was the 2nd best team in the ACC this year.
Louisville got beat by Kentucky, a team Georgia blew out 51-13 and Alabama blew out 49-21.
Louisville is maybe the 4th or 5th best team in the SEC.
Michigan gonna shut Bama down. As much as the rest of college football hate to admit it, Michigan's defense is legit. The only team built to beat Michigan is Texas.
You have to use an objective metric for comparison.
If I want to argue that the SEC is the better conference between the two, I have to use some objective metris to prove my point, otherwise it is just my opinion. My argument is the that the ACC was a better conference this year. I used head to head matchups to justify this argument.
They sacked Milroe 4 times. Bama's oline didn't do anything against Georgia's defense that Missouri and Geoegia Tech didn't do.
Rewatch last week's Iron Bowlit was the fact Georgia was number 1 practically all year. I don’t think any team hasn’t looked suspect at some point this season. Bama is a much better team then they were week 2 they weren’t even set at a quarterback. Jalen Milroe went from getting benched to getting Heisman votes. Texas hasn’t faced a good team besides Oklahoma since the Bama game and they loss

The 2nd best ACC team got beat at home by an average SEC team. Therefore the top of the SEC is better then the top of ACC.

I had them as one of my 4, their last 2 games were hard to watch but teams are set move on

As a Michigan fan, I'm not thrilled to draw Bama. Especially after the last two times we played them. And especially given Harbaugh's recent bowl game preps.
With that said if we want to win a chip we gotta go through whoever and get over the hump.
Our D is really good this year. It's gonna come down to our DL vs their OL, and they've pushed us around in the recent past. Our offense has regressed though.
Should be a good game. LOVE that it's in the Rose Bowl.
