4-year-old Calif. girl shot in chest after dad and another man shoot paintballs at other cars
A little girl is resting in a Northern California hospital after being shot in the chest while riding in a car with her dad and another man, who were firing paintballs at passing vehicles, police said.
Tyanni Miller, 4, was in stable condition at an Oakland hospital Wednesday, one day after sustaining the gunshot wound. Her father and the driver of their car were arrested Wednesday, the Oakland Tribune reported, as they visited the child.
Dad Julius Miller, 23, and car driver Marcell Powell, 21, were riding around East Oakland Tuesday afternoon, firing paintball guns at people and other cars, police said.
Someone in a car that was hit by paint opened fire, striking Tyanni and grazing Powell.
The shooter is still at large.
