Suspect in custody after shots reported fired at a Indiana middle school

(CNN)Shots were fired Friday at a middle school in Noblesville, Indiana, a receptionist for the school district told CNN.



A suspect is in custody, according to the Noblesville Fire Department.

Police said via Twitter that two people were being transported to a hospital.
Noblesville West Middle School was on lockdown, receptionist Jackie Chatteron said.
The shooting comes a week after 10 people were killed at a school in Santa Fe, Texas.
Aerial news video showed lines of students being evacuated and escorted to school buses.
Students were being taken to Noblesville High School, where parents can pick them up, police said.

A lot of press in Bmore about a 16-year old black kid that killed a cop when he ran her over as the getaway car in a robbery. His 3 boys (also 16) were in the house at the time of the murder, but they’re also being charged with capital murder.

CAC’s calling them ‘animals’ and calling for the death penalty, but will claim ‘mental illness’ for the perpertator in this school shooting, who I’m 100% certain fits a particular demographic.

This is up the road from where I live; I drive past this school frequently. Mainly white school with a small number of black kids. Fairly well-off middle to upper-middle class district; city that was a mix of wypo rural with some city dwellers (its the county seat) until the past 15-20 years where all that farmland became single family housing and more that a few mini mansions.

Too close to home, as my own kid is in school today about 10 miles away.

The seventh grader said a student entered a science classroom and shot at someone. The science teacher bravely tacked the gunman and swatted the gun away from him, possibly saving others from getting injured. The student didn't say whether the teacher was injured.

“I literally just spoke with a seventh grader who was in the room where this happened. Her mom came to pick her up this morning. She confirmed what I heard from another person who lives nearby that this was in a science classroom and that a science teacher may have been the one to literally tackle this kid and swat the gun away from him.

That is a firsthand account… She described him as a student, and that he shot at someone in the room, and one student was injured. And that this science teacher bravely swatted that gun away from the gunman’s hands, saving everyone else in that room.”
