Announcer Apologizes for Cracking ‘Taco’ Joke About Colombian NASCAR Driver

During the Ohio State/Minnesota game, the NASCAR promotion turned nasty when broadcaster Chris Spielman asked where Colombian NASCAR driver Juan Pablo was in the standings ... then Bob Griese let this gem fly: "He's out having a taco."

At the end of the game, Griese issued a bland apology, saying, "Juan Pablo Montoya, he's one of the best drivers in NASCAR, I just want to apologize for the More.. comment that I made earlier in the ballgame."

I saw the apology before i saw the statement and now that i hear the statement i'm like what the hell is he apologizing for. All famous or semi famous people should just declare themselves as comics so they can get away with stuff like that. What most people will miss is it wasn't just Griese being bigoted--why did Chris Spielman ask the question in that tone about that specific driver? What was his facial expression when he asked the question? Obviously he asked it with a great deal of spite given the way Griese laughed and retorted.

I watch those weak ass 11am Big Ten games on Espn and Greise and Speilman are the worst duo...but since they both played in the Big 10 thats why they got the gig.
