nope, the showers have COLD water in them, as most people leave their hot water heaters (if they have 'em) OFF. costs too much.
as for the hotels charging, maybe, i wouldn't know. i was told they DO NOT allow outside overnight guests.
so i stayed in an apartment.

Yeah, I have one of my older brothers that stayed out there for a while. Well, we are looking for the same as the rest of the guys, area that is chill, full of women, most bang for your buck. I'm not a 6figure income like a lot of peeps on here, so I don't plan on being something I'm not. Like to set up everything with the travel agent atleast 6months to a year advanced, so everyone has more than enough time to get their loot in without putting anyone in any bind. Places that are safe for brothas, and where they are not trying to scam 24/7 cause we are americans. We will probably be there for 5 to 7 days.

Well since your talking about planning months in advance i would say wait for november time range. nov 3rd is our independance day. plenty of fun going on during that time. If you have plenty of patience you can wait till next year feb. for carnavales!! That's when its really poppin... Keep yourself in the capital since it your first time. Plenty of clubs and women for everyone... the real parties go down in the country side of panama during carnavale...but wouldn't advise you going down there by yourself.... There is this really nice resort called DeCameron. that has been getting a lot of attention over the past years. i personally haven't had a chance to go, i'm still young so i run with the young crowd in the ghetto and all that. so many bad bitches out there its retarded...somethings gotta be in the water. you will definetly come back singing praises.... Oh being american you will probably get jerked by the taxi cab drivers...its only fair.. your a tourist ya know!!!

Cool, trying to get as much info as I can on a few different places, to bring to the table to vote on the next spot. I've heard a lot of good things about Panama. We are not really all too concern about making a huge event. If they just have the everyday laid back life, with some nice clubs and resorts to meet some of the local women is cool. But I might have to keep the carnavale in mind. We're all in our 30's so we are not really looking to be around too many youngsters. Gotta respect the taxi cab hustle.

Meet different people, see the different cultures. Every city is filled with hoez, but that doesn't really make it really different staying in the U.S.. Plus, it will be good to see some sexy women by the beach, thats not in Cali or FL.

yeah, we americanos are spoiled as hell, and many of us refuse to adapt even a little in order to enjoy new experiences.
there are no Taco Bells, McDonalds, or other fast food restaurants down there, and you'd be amazed at how many of us feel lost without them.
All that other stuff is debatable, you can always make do with whatever's there. Hot showers are a gift from the gods themselves though. People home would say I've gotten spoiled too.
Thats one thing I won't miss. I love eating the food of the locals. I can eat all that fastfood bullshit at home. At it one time while living in Holland & Germany, didn't miss it nor did I want it. They(locals & good friends) would always try to bring me to one of those spots, I would take a picture and get back in and say "Lets get some real food!".
Funny look at first when they would scratch their heads dumbfounded until they finally understood I have too much of that BS at home. I didn't jump the big pond to eat the same shit.Can't front though, not used to the cold showers, but its not impossible.

Well I am from Suriname ( former dutch colony ).
And I would advise any brother who wants to visit a nice tropical country and learn about some new cultures and get a real slavery experience to take a trip down there.

Really nice. They even take you fishing/hunting/gathering food in the jungle.
Then you have the natives ( indians ) they will take you hunting with bow and arrow, partake in their rituals/festivities and get you drunk with a bitter beer called " kasiri "
The woman are very beautifull also, especially those mixed with black.
ou can take an expedition to the Gold mines and see how gold is being mined the old fashioned way, by hand. using water streams etc etc etc.
You can see how rubber is bled from the " balata " ( rubber ) trees.
You can go to suralco ( Suriname aluminium company ) which BTW was the #1 aluminium producing company in the world during WWI.
90% of american war planes were built using surinamese aluminum.
It's a small country of roughly 400,000 people.
Everyone speaks Dutch ( our official language ), Taki taki ( our local dialect ) and English.
Spanish is also spoken as their are alot of brazillians, dominicans etc etc etc there.
