Lol when I heard Deion cole I immediately thought comedy than I watched trailer and is completely thrown off cause was not expecting that.. funny thing is if you go by the trailer the mob isn’t really wrong even though they are portrayed as the bad guys.. someone steal 10 million from you , than you are the victim not the people who not gonna pay it back lol

I was at a family friend's BBQ a few weekends back. My dad's GF's son had been asking me for show recommendations in recent months. Told him about Barry, Average Joe, etc.
He binged through Barry very quickly and said it was consistently good, and liked how dark it got at times.
He's really enjoying Average Joe currently. He said initially he thought it was a bit corny, but when shit hits the fan ... he was like - "Damn ... I'm in ..." - especially with multiple people involved / implicated.

Agreed. That's what works so well for shows like this one, Barry, etc.
They can balance out those moments of dark comedy and levity, with brutal violence.
