Nas and Ghostface for me!!..

I have heard all these guys total catalogs. Albums, B-sides, mixtapes, features, rare and collab projects, mainstream, party joints, underground, freestyles, etc...

Even if you are talking solo projects, gotta go with Nas, Ghostface, Jay Z, then LL Cool J and Busta Rhymes.

From 1993 to now, Nas and Ghostface's catalogs are impeccable. Busta Rhymes and LL Cool J are not far behind.

Jay Z's peaks are higher, but overall quality of his work does not compare, he got lazy on some of his projects.

Public enemy and the roots..kinsfolk
Admitting to both a NYC and nostalgic bias but:
1. A Tribe Called Quest
2. Wu-Tang
3. Mob Deep

But you ain’t never lie with Roots. Tariq T.’s pen is top three against anyone and every brother in that group is a musical genius.
