There's no trend or money to be made from outspoken blackness. Anyone suggesting such needs their head examined. Beyonce has been the target of media scrutiny and criticism since the moment she did anything remotely viewed as self aware or of substance. I've never heard a Beyonce album in my life and always considered her a bit of an intellectual light weight, but I do think what we are seeing currently is sincere growth and awareness of a woman with perspective, experience, and well into adulthood.
Nobody should be the same at 35 as they were at 25. If they are then they have wasted 10 years of life in earth.
