Bibi Netanyahu came visit Washington again…. Now someone in Brooklyn was hosting a fundraiser for Ben Gvir

Of course not. And yes it is. You simply fail to understand that at one point in time. the words “Jewish” and “Zionism” went hand in hand, which is why a majority of the world, to this very day, struggle with that distinction. I honestly don’t blame you because everyone is stuck on that and it needs to be pointed out that those are two different things and even Jews amongst themselves are torn on this notion because Zionism was not founded by anyone else but Jews. The same Jews that honed and mastered their skills and trade in Europe, not current day Palestine, centuries before Theodore Herzl was a twinkle in his daddy’s eye. Those same Jews that helped facilitate British Imperialism. The same Jews that are documented as slave and boat owners during the Trans Atlantic slave trade. Many of those same Jews became Zionists.

All of this is stated.

For the 900th time, the context will ALWAYS matter.

But if it’s easier, feel free to stick to those quick Google facts as gold. Everyone else does.
Like I said, you conflate Judaism with Zionism. & what you said further proves it.

And like I said, you clearly can’t understand the context and that’s cool. It’s not for everyone. We’ll agree to disagree and keep it moving. Stay blessed.

All Jews are not Zionists like you would like to believe, & some people cannot understand complexity even though they have Jewish Studies degrees, oh well.

A number of Western governments are urging their citizens to leave Lebanon as tensions between Israel and Iran-backed Hezbollah militants escalate.

The United States, Germany, Britain and France are among the governments issuing travel warnings to their citizens, calling on them to leave Lebanon immediately or avoid travel there as the risk of conflict widens.

European countries are going to explode, a shift in policy will end Washington's friends thus Isreal. The greenlight will be major blowback!

Netanyahu’s flight takes longer route to US to avoid ICC arrest warrant: Reports

Monday, 07 April 2025 10:21 AM [ Last Update: Monday, 07 April 2025 10:21 AM ]

Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reportedly taken a flight detour to the United States, with his plane avoiding the airspace of several countries that could enforce an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) against the war criminal.

Israeli media reported that Netanyahu’s aircraft took off from the Hungarian capital of Budapest and landed in Washington on Sunday after flying through a path about 400 kilometers longer.

The plane flew over Croatia, Italy and France and avoided the airspace of Ireland, Iceland and the Netherlands due to concerns that the latter trio could have acted on the ICC warrant against Netanyahu in the case of an emergency landing.

It was not the first time that Netanyahu’s flight had taken a convoluted route to avoid the risk of him being arrested.

In February, he traveled to Washington weeks after undergoing surgery. The flight took a longer path to ensure that it was flying over US army bases in an event that it needed to land for medical reasons.

Netanyahu will meet with US President Donald Trump at the White House on Monday.

In November 2024, the ICC issued arrest warrants against Netanyahu and his former minister of military affairs Yoav Gallant for crimes against humanity and war crimes related to Israel’s ongoing genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

The ruling obliged all the 125 countries, which signed the Rome Statute establishing the ICC, to detain and surrender the pair to the Hague-based court.

The Israeli prime minister traveled to Hungary, which is a member of the ICC, on Thursday.

The ICC asked the Hungarian government to arrest him, but Budapest refused to comply with the request and promptly announced it was quitting the court.

Hungary announces its decision to pull out of the International Criminal Court (ICC), hours after the Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu – the subject of an arrest warrant – arrived in the European country for a visit.

Israel unleashed its genocidal war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, after the Hamas resistance group carried out its historic operation against the occupying entity in retaliation for the regime’s intensified atrocities against the Palestinian people.

The Tel Aviv regime has so far killed at least 50,695 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured 115,475 others, according to the Gaza Health Ministry.

Brooklyn fundraiser with Ben Gvir canceled days before far-right minister’s US trip

Webpages advertising benefit for Chabad of Hebron taken down after report on Ben Gvir’s scheduled appearance; organizers cite ‘unforeseen changes in the minister’s schedule’

JTA — A fundraiser with Itamar Ben Gvir to be held at Brooklyn’s Jewish Children’s Museum was abruptly canceled Friday, shortly after being announced.

The event featuring the far-right Israeli minister was to be hosted by Beis Shmuel Chabad, a Crown Heights synagogue, as a benefit for Chabad of Hebron, in the West Bank. Following a Jewish Telegraphic Agency report about the fundraiser, webpages advertising the event were taken down and prospective attendees were told it had been canceled.

An organizer told Haaretz the cancellation was due to “unforeseen changes in the minister’s schedule.”

Beis Shmuel Chabad, which follows Chabad practices but is not formally affiliated with the global Chabad-Lubavitch movement based in Crown Heights, and Chabad of Hebron, which is, did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the cancellation.

A spokesperson for Chabad-Lubavitch said they were unaware of any other meetings scheduled between Ben Gvir and Chabad officials during his trip.

The event had been one of only a few publicly announced stops less than a week out from Ben Gvir’s first stateside visit. Shabtai, a Jewish society at Yale University, also plans to host multiple events with him: on Yale’s campus in New Haven, Connecticut; on New York’s Upper East Side; and a third potentially in Washington, according to Shabtai’s director, Rabbi Shmully Hecht.

Ben Gvir’s itinerary is being closely scrutinized as he is the standard-bearer for Israel’s far right. An admirer of Meir Kahane, the late Jewish extremist, who has himself been convicted of providing support to a terror organization, Ben Gvir and his Otzma Yehudit party have called for the expulsion of “disloyal” Palestinians, the annexation of the West Bank and Jewish resettlement of Gaza.

His installation in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s governing coalition in late 2022 spurred consternation among American Jewish groups and caused the Biden administration to consider a formal ban on his travel to the United States.

Now, as Ben Gvir’s office says he plans to stop in the New York area, Washington and Miami, several large American Jewish groups have told JTA they have no intention of meeting with him.

But at least one other, private event between the minister and American Jewish figures is also being planned, according to Jewish PR executive Ross Glick, who plans to attend one of the events but is not organizing it. Glick, who was until recently affiliated with the right-wing pro-Israel group Betar US, declined to provide more information.

An organizer for UnXeptable, an Israeli protest movement organizing against Ben Gvir’s visit, said in a statement he was “deeply gratified” to hear the event had been canceled.

“Our coalition against Ben Gvir and Kahanism grows day by day,” Offir Gutelzon said. “Itamar Ben Gvir does not represent Judaism, Israel, or our community. He is beyond the pale.” A statement opposing the visit circulated by Gutelzon has been signed by several liberal Jewish groups as well as advocates for Israeli hostage families.
