Biden announces $2.5B in new aid for Ukraine (last of the aid money he can send)

The $2.5 billion aid package for Ukraine announced by Biden is divided into two parts and will not be delivered in full at once, the White House clarifies.

Half of it, $1.22 billion, is being provided through the United States Security Assistance Initiative (USAI), a program that invests in weapons production that Ukraine may receive months or even years later.

These are the last funds available under this program.

The second part of the package - $1.25 billion - will be transferred in weapons in the near future.

I am wondering -- like many US taxpayers -- how did the US get on the hook for $10s of billions$ to finance Ukraine's war with $borrowed??$ The US is broke --$37 trillion in debt$ -- can no longer afford to be the "World's Policeman!" When the DC warmongers are not waging wars of choice against 3rd World people Syria -- A-Stan -- Iraq e.g. -- Vietnam --etc etc -- they are financing proxy wars.
Russia's vital interests in next-door neighbor Ukraine are waaaay more important than whatever the US' interests. Same as the US invaded Grenada & Panama "to protect its vital interests" & has embargoed Cuba for 60 yrs!

If you knew how the government works as well as you know trans roos, you would know a President can only sign a bill that's been passed by both houses of congress.
