This is why I’m glad I went to Black schools back in the 80s in the early 90s. A lot of my teachers was attached to the civil rights movement, so I got the true history of the black story of America. In middle school, the teachers was telling us the real truth about Christopher Columbus and native Americans. Even back then those teachers was telling me that Columbus did not discover America because was already people here and that’s when my eyes became wide open at a young age. An America keep shooting their selves in a foot when it comes to teaching the correct history and I’m pretty sure they are going to white wash the Trump years in the future. If America would have did what Germany did with teaching the holocaust and learning from it, America will have been a better place. Racism can get extremely expensive in America is learning that the hard way.
