it amazes me how this guy built so much for so long only to lose it all in a 3 year span over some easily avoided bullshit.

his story is everything Murica is supposed to be. he started his my pillow brand in 2004 with 5 employees. he did an infomercial in 2011 and watched his shit skyrocket. dude had sold over 40 million pillows by then and had to expand to 1500 employees by 2017. and was still rolling strong.

so after 13 years of growth, right when he was at his highest, this dumb sumbitch right HERE decided to kiss Trump's ass, spread disinformation that the 2020 election was stolen and told Dominion to fuck themselves, cause they did it.

and now he's a bankrupt asshole with a tainted brand, fighting to save some semblance of his former glory.

Lawmaker says free bus rides on Election Day are "not fair"

IndyGo's initiative to give free Election Day rides is under threat at the Statehouse.

Driving the news: Sen. Gary Byrne (R-Byrneville) has filed a bill to prohibit public transportation agencies from offering free or reduced-fare rides on election days.

Why it matters: Free fares remove one barrier to voting access for residents, especially low-income Hoosiers who may not have a car or be able to afford the trip.

State of play: For the past two years, the AARP of Indiana has sponsored free Election Day rides on public transit in Indianapolis, Gary, Fort Wayne and Evansville.

The big picture: Byrne told Axios the bill is about fairness for Hoosiers, like those who live in rural areas, who don't have access to public transportation.

You Could Soon Be Fined for Defamation for Calling Someone Racist in Florida

Florida Republicans have introduced a new bill that would silence basically any accusations of discrimination.

A Florida Republican lawmaker has introduced a bill that would make it defamation to accuse someone of racism, sexism, homophobia, or transphobia, a measure that would deal a devastating blow to freedom of speech in the Sunshine State.

The bill, which was introduced Friday, would make it much easier for someone to sue another person for defamation. The measure states that “an allegation that the plaintiff has discriminated against another person or group because of their race, sex, sexual orientation, or gender identity constitutes defamation per se.”

Proving “actual malice” is one of the main requirements of a successful defamation case. And this bill would make that easier, setting up conditions for a fact-finder to automatically infer that actual malice took place after an accusation of discrimination.
