Yeah, Whoopi's trying to be too nice. I get where she's coming from, and I agree with some of her points. But "respecting" someone's right to say something and holding them accountable are two different things.
And even if you want to try to drag Kaep into this, it's still the wrong approach. Instead of saying, "Leave this dude alone because they should have left Kaep alone," they should be using all of that energy to get Kaep reinstated.
The only real point I agree with is that Butker could have stated his beliefs on home and family without attacking other things/people. He picked specific targets for a reason. He chose violence, so he can have all of the heat attached to that decision. Heck, he's not even getting that much heat. People are buying out his jersey, for crying out loud. I doubt he even feels like he's in trouble.
