Voters kick all the Republican women out of the South Carolina Senate

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — The only three Republican women in the South Carolina Senate took on their party and stopped a total abortion ban from passing in their state last year. In return, they lost their jobs.

Voters removed Sens. Sandy Senn, Penry Gustafson and Katrina Shealy from office during sparsely turned out primaries in June, and by doing so completely vacated the Republican wing of the five-member “Sister Senators,” a female contingent that included two Democrats and was joined in their opposition to the abortion ban.

For Republicans, the departure of Senn, Gustafson and Shealy likely means there will be no women in the majority party of state Senate when the next session starts in 2025. It could also mean that women will not wield power for decades in the fiercely conservative state where they have long struggled to gain entry into the Legislature.

Space on project 2025 it's being recorded to listen later.

Man this was good.

Not just the breakdown of the document, but some of the callers were powerful.

Not to spoil anything, but there was social worker from the VA talking about veteran benefits and it blew my mind.

The Freedom Caucus AKA MAGA is killing our state. My homeboy was telling me about this last week.

Worst case scenario, the only thing I can take solace in is Hakeem Jeffries will inevitably be the SOTH next year regardless of how the presidential election turns out. And in that case this shit has no chance of passing let alone getting 60 votes in the Senate.
An executive order is defined as a declaration by the president or a governor which has the force of law, usually based on existing statutory powers. Executive orders do not require any action by the Congress or state legislature to take effect, and the legislature cannot overturn it.

And executive orders are weak as fuck and can be easily blocked.

That's true, but it's not the fucking point right now. Keep the pressure on southern and midwest family members to vote for someone that could actually change this in their favor.

Trump is going to fire ALL federal workers that don't align with his army.

They have written the shit down, and showed it to the world. BELIEVE THEM.

At this point, I’m just waiting for a meteorite to just blow the planet up.

These past 7 days have been crazy. Might have to take a social
Media break
I recently took a break from everything news related (well, except for here, which might have been a mistake, but whatever). It's a very good and very necessary thing to do sometimes. The more disconnected, the better.

I was only able to listen for an hour or so. It was a good space, but it got off topic a bit with one dude (Black Trump supporter) trying to convince everyone Project 2025 isnt a bad thing. Good info came of it tho.

It's not callers, just speakers in the twitter space. If you join live you can comment also. (You probably know this, just clarifying for other ppl who may see the comment.)

So the first revolution was to get away from a King and the tyranny involved. According to him the second revolution is to go back to that? Make that make sense.
I wonder would we see something like Jan 6 but worst if he won?

Glad some is talking about this as it relates to thousands of cuts that could potentially be made to healthcare. Something most don't talk about until it actually hits you
Not to get too real about this particular conversation, but this election will probably decide if I ever bother to have kids. For one, I don't know that I want to raise any children in the world these assholes want to create. But on another hand, they will literally cut off access to the resources I would need to make that happen.
