I've heard his whole speech and to his credit, unlike you and others he does mention alternatives unfortunately those ideas proved to be not realistic.

Appealing to the UN on human rights was somewhat naïve considering the US ignores the UN whenever they feel like it.

the flaw in this part of his speech: The political philosophy of black nationalism means that the black man should control the politics and the politicians in his own community; no more. The black man in the black community has to be re-educated into the science of politics so he will know what politics is supposed to bring him in return. Don't be throwing out any ballots. A ballot is like a bullet. You don't throw your ballots until you see a target, and if that target is not within your reach, keep your ballot in your pocket.

the problem here is instead looking for a target or waiting for a target we should be developing the target. All these activists talking about dont vote should be running for office themselves.

And Malcolm wasnt killed by a democrat.

So why not heed your own words?

See, this is what I call bad interviewing. The correct followup to, "Will you be voting for Mark Robinson?" is "So you do care about voting, or else you wouldn't be bothering now, right?" Or something along those lines. She's too dense to understand that contradiction, either, but at least it makes more sense than trying to imply she should have some semblance of moral character.

But this is a major cross-section that needs acknowledging and addressing. And yes, it is about racism. Because the reason people like this exist and continue to vote against their best interest is because they inherently trust the GOP not to take care of them but to punish the people not like them. She is so comfortably wrapped in her privilege that she can't imagine someone with an R beside their name ever doing something to hurt her (and maybe people close to her, but honestly, I don't think someone this ignorant is capable of having that far of an empathic reach).

So great is that privilege and hatred of others that they will vote for a low-character black man and not be afraid of him like they would other minorities in power because he is "one of the good ones" or they believe that others will keep him in line. This is the wall of a hurdle we have to overcome.

The "voting against their best interest" goes both ways!
