Jamaican is a nationality.....not a race. You can A]en ask real Jamaicans on this board, like @Mr. Met , who will tell you that neither Kamala nor her father would be considered "black" in Jamaica. And there are other West Indians on this board who say there isn't even a concept of race in the Caribbean. Their words not mine.

Do you consider Sean Paul to be "black"?

Now, as far as the NOI theology is concerned, all the Black, Brown, Red and Yellow people of the world are variations of the original Black Man. But the reality is that Fard wasn't mixed race at all, but that's another discussion.

So back to Kamala. She's a mixed-race woman of Indian/Jamaican descent whose father himself was mixed race. She was raised by her Indian mother in Canada.

She is not a Black American/African-American/ADOS woman.

And there's no accent you can sell me.

So the Minister got it wrong, too, by your logic, correct??

Republican don't care as long as they carry out American's imperialist agendas.

I think the point is that the leadership of the dem party consists of Black people. There are Black people in congress and cabinet positions. Trump had maybe 3 Black folk in his cabinet. The GOP doesn't generally have Black folk in higher ranks. No one can name anyone beside Condoleezza Rice, Ben Carson and Colin Powell. Being able to get diverse feedback is important. Promoting intelligent and competent Black people is important. Not just so Black people can see ourselves, but so white people can can see us and get acclimated to Black people being in charge, have things run well and not have things fall apart. They need to know that Black people can be trusted.

White people are judged as individuals, but Black people are still judged collectively in many minds. It used to be stressed in the Black community for us to do well because if we get in and eff up, it would mess it up for other Black people or that they wouldn't hire another Black person ever. No matter how high we rise, there are white people who want to say we didn't earn it or were a "diversity" hire. The fact that Obama was such a good president helps Kamala and other Black candidates. Having judges like Judge Chutkan and Ketanji Brown Jackson whose written opinions are studied and understood to be brilliant helps us. American needs to be exposed to Black excellence, not just hear about it during Black history month. We have competence and excellence on display daily. They aren't the exceptions, they are the rule.

If he considers her to be a Black woman, then yes, he got it wrong. But Farrakhan is West Indian himself. Fard wasn't Black either. And there are various aspects of NOI theology I find to be problematic, if that's the discussion you want to have.

And 10 years ago, Farrakhan had this to say:

Louis Farrakhan on Donald Trump: 'I Like What I’m Looking At'

Now the Nation is problematic, the minister ain't really black, blah, blah, blah, but you keep using quotes from Malcolm X who rise to fame was through the nation.

meanwhile this was a few years ago, but somehow, this is different I guess. I mean I NO ONE has provided a link to watch the entire video to prove one way or the other.

Wow, you certainly have a different worldview than I do. I couldn't imagine having to go around and "prove" myself to white people like that. And the leadership of the Dem Party does NOT consist of Black people, and the ones who are there must serve Democratic interests. Just as the GOP push the Tim Scott, Clarence Thomas, and Candace Owens types who push their political interests.

Obama being an average president is why Kamala is struggling now, especially with Black voters.

I never said the NOI was beyond criticism. I simply described the reality of their theology as I'm thoroughly familiar with it. You as a Black liberal Democrat who embraces integration, feminism, homosexuality, transgenderism, and abortion and would find them to be more problematic than I would.

And for the record, Malcolm was not speaking for the NOI in this speech. It was after he'd left. Oh yeah, the NOI doesn't believe in voting. You should know that as well. But you really don't know what you're talking about all..................CHUMP!

You're missing the point. It's not simply a matter of "proving" something. Black folk are 13% of the population. NO Black candidate is getting elected without white votes and votes from other racial groups. Racial groups who often don't have day to day interaction with Black folk and fall back on stereotypes to fill in their real world experience gaps. Stereotypes that are full of anti Black propaganda that is not favorable to us. When they do have personal relationships with Black folk, they think they are the exception to all the negative stereotypes about us.

Kamala is having to overcome not only Black stereotypes but stereotypes about women and leadership. White evangelicals are indoctrinated against women leadership. They also often vote how their husbands vote, regardless of what they really think. Now though, they are having to vote to literally save their lives and the lives of their daughters, nieces, and friends.

Women before her like Hillary as SOS and a candidate, Pelosi as speaker, Kamalas time as DA and as VP gaining experience has helped her. If she wins, she will be a stepping stone for other women, both Black and white.

It says a lot if you don't understand this as an issue that Black people and women have to deal with.

at the end of day the NOI still has more respect for a black woman than you do.

If you are so worried about homos, why are you constantly in bed with one, namely

U mad? You must be mixed-race or an immigrant yourself with the way you're reacting! Kamala isn't a Black woman. It is what it is. She's a mixed-race woman of an immigrant background. As I said before, talk to the West Indians on this board. There are plenty of them.

I'm not worried about homosexuals as long as they don't incorporate their struggle into ours. Our high yella goddess Yvette has talked about this herself.

Yet Kamala had Megan on stage twerking, talked about smoking weed and listening to Biggie and Tupac in college (in the 80s), and says she washes greens in the bathtub. She clearly is indifferent to whatever Black stereotypes exist and/or she believes them herself.

And you think she will be a stepping stone for all women, but best believe one group doesn't see it that way.

White women had doubts. They voted for Trump anyway.

They said they didn’t like the president’s rhetoric, his handling of the pandemic. But in the end, they came home.

The irony is with YOU! You're here speaking about the "Minister" and the NOI when most of their beliefs are vehemently opposed to most of what you and Kamala believe.

  • She's married to a white JEW!
  • Embraces feminism, homosexuality, and abortion.
  • She doesn't believe in specific redress for Black people in America.
  • She believes in voting.
If you knew anything about the NOI, you'd know that they do not endorse any of this!

There are black folk who still support and ride for this idiot

Fox host: You tweeted ‘when the looting starts, the shooting starts.’ Why those words?

Trump: So, that’s an expression I’ve heard over the years

Fox host: Do you know where it comes from?

Trump: I think Philadelphia

Fox host: No, it comes from 1967. It was from the chief of police in Miami who was cracking down on Black neighborhoods and he said, ‘I don't even care if it makes it look like brutality. I'm gonna crack down. When the looting starts, the shooting starts’

Trump: Yeah
