I know. Which I why I said that's not really what we want. But we all know that that aside, a lack of diversity will only end up hurting the military overall.
It's funny, because I was just watching an episode of MASH where one of the commanders was trying to get his black soldiers sent home. He'd put them in more dangerous ops, and then try to lie to get them sent back when they were hurt. Everyone pointed out how it didn't make sense to send someone you hated home first, but dude just said that he'd rather be in the trenches with people he trusted. Funny how the more things change....
