And it's a good example of how stupid and/or short-sighted these firings are. They're literally just dumping a random number of people before making an assessment of what they do (instead of say, doing the exact opposite, which would make sense).
This is probably a good year to drop a garbage level tax return into the system. Between lack of staffing and low morale, I can't imagine them actually finding anything relevant wrong with the average return. Don't go crazy or anything, but I'm just saying.
