That's a very telling exercise. I'm going to share it with all of my friends. Its pretty accurate, but its not likely that ALL of those bad breaks will happen to a person in such a short amount of time. I've been in that situation more than once and day to day options are a lot greater than that exercise offers especially if you're in a decent sized town. I'd take the warehouse job, rent in a boarding house, take the bus and get another part time job. Building in several safety nets at the same time will carry any healthy, motivated person through till a real opportunity comes along. I've lived it!

- missed my child's recital

- didn't lend any sick days to my coworker

- didn't give my sick mother $$$ (felt bad but moms would never be in that position in real life and if by some chance she was I'd give her w/e she asked for)

Great game. I have lived this life and then some. The groceries are pretty much what I bought during that time (minus a shit ton of brown rice and hot sauce).

In all I made it through with $167 left. Rent is due tomorrow so is time for a rent strike to protest the illegal increase and unpaid repairs.
