John Brown is legit the only one I could name.
the need for white acceptance / validation is one of the most powerful things on the planet
The problem with recognizing the few whites who valiantly stood, and died, in opposition to white supremacy is that it may have the counter effect of causing a Black person to give staunch racist a pass that will be harmful to themselves. The, "Not all white people are racist" novocaine. This is not about a need for white acceptance.
It's about recognizing heroes-- or people who at least tried-- for their contributions, no matter what they looked like.
I'm validating them, not summoning them for validation of me.

I one-starred the thread before I made a post.I love how @xfactor can't hang in a discussion so he runs and one stars the thread instead. You may be an ex-factor but you're a current bitch.

The number is infantessimal rendering it statistically insignificant. Their history has shown the same behavior no matter the era or geographical location so it doesn’t merit much discussion.
And it seems that you are a victim of the novocaine. Heres the thing; We as a people ( All non-white people who phenotypically could be classified as Black) don't have the luxury of cherry picking those whites who don't mean us harm. So if they engage in counter-racist actions, good for them. We as a collective should be more focused on correcting the ill behaviors and patterns of thinking which their race instilled in us for us to practice white supremacy on ourselves, on autopilot. One aspect of that is the worship of western culture in any of its fashions. We should reserve our praises until the 'majority' of their collective are engaged in meaningful efforts to eradicate a virus that they created. They have to civilize themselves, and we have to re-civilize ourselves. It's not few, though. It's thousands. The number who did not was obviously in the millions.
I don't know if John Brown or the white man who got bulldozed opposing racism ever had a racist thought but, functionally, it seems pretty dumb to write them off as racist. It doesn't have to be all or nothing.
This is not about a need for white acceptance.
It's about recognizing heroes-- or people who at least tried-- for their contributions, no matter what they looked like.

This is a falsehood. And it seems that you are a victim of the novocaine. The practice of white supremacy is the entirety of their culture. Hell, they even practice it among themselves. So we should learn to let whites be who they are and for us to get back to being the people we need to be for the sake of the Greater Spirits.
Well said. Also highlighting fact that these people and many others like them existed can diminish the bullshit reason that "teaching this history makes white kids feel bad".
Why are they assuming the kids automatically identify with the demonic oppressors on the wrong side of history as opposed to the few engaged in the fight for liberation?
These base coat beasts aint scared about them "feeling bad" they fear that the younger generations will realize how trash previous generations were and may work towards dismantling systems of white supremacy in the future. That's what's behind the push for eliminating True history that these new school Daughters of the confederacy/Moms for liberty....Trump's 1776 commission and anti "CRT" shit is all about
What i stated may be a falsehood to 'you' 'relative' to how you view the world, but what you state isn't an 'objective' Truth. Thus your statement is mere 'opinion', which unfortunately has kept us in the same state and position for hundreds of years. All the allies many of us have cherry picked have gotten us where? Treadmilling on the same hamster wheel. Yet have we focused on ourselves? To end the malcontent fashions of behaviors and world views that keep this hamster wheel turning? Not enough I say. This is a falsehood.
We "cherry pick" our heroes for social and political justice everyday.
- Most are chosen for us.
- Some we choose for ourselves.
However; if "we" as a people don't, can't or refuse to recognize individual allies or organizations (regardless of race/ethnicity/nationality) that truly aids us in our ongoing battle for freedom and justice then "we" as a people are doomed to fail.
What you state sounds noble and potentially possible. But guess what? White culture has a term for whites who fought and died for justice concerning Black people....They call them '****** lovers.' White children know to earn such a label by their group brings social punishment. So yeah, they may feel bad, but that won't change the outcome. Self protection. Also highlighting fact that these people and many others like them existed can diminish the bullshit reason that "teaching this history makes white kids feel bad".

Brother, we live in a white dominated society that taught us about white heroes in school and entertainment throughout our childhoods. Why ask a Black male dominated internet forum to cherry pick crackas to honor? How many "lets invite him to the cookout" CACs showed their true colors when the opportunity presented itself? This is not about a need for white acceptance.
It's about recognizing heroes-- or people who at least tried-- for their contributions, no matter what they looked like.

A falsehood is still a falsehood no matter how many $10 a word replies you post here to try toWhat i stated may be a falsehood to 'you' 'relative' to how you view the world, but what you state isn't an 'objective' Truth. Case in point; Your retort. Which is rife with 'I can't help myself without white people.' 'We...NEEEEEEED them!' Which is a pattern of thought that they instilled in your ancestors which.....keeps the hamster wheel turning. Falsehood? I think not.
You have to prove a falsehood. Case in point; How much progress has been made up to this time by Black people with allies of other races in your fight against white supremacy? Not much I say. Statistical comparisons of Black peoples social position from the late 1800`s to the early 21st century prove that. Where ya allies at?A falsehood is still a falsehood no matter how many $10 a word replies you post here to try tofoolgaslight us to believe differently...
This doesn't change the fact that every movement towards achieving real socio-political, racial or economic justice or power requires allies from a multitude of individuals and groups from outside our own diaspora. But, if we fail to acknowledge and embrace our true allies willing to fight along side us for justice and equality, we will never achieve those goals...
Dude. You have to prove a falsehood. Case in point; How much progress has been made up to this time by Black people with allies of other races in your fight against white supremacy? Not much I say. Wrong again. And congratulations, you've graduated from novocaine to full fledged anesthesia.Dude.
It's not my responsibility to provide you with proof of YOUR own falsehood.
But what I will do is simply point out that historically there have always been (and still are) White people who are allies to Black people in America.
- From staunch, anti-slavery abolitionists of the past.
- To people along the Underground railroad who hid runaway slaves.
- To people in the north who helped runaway slaves relocate and remain free.
- To the Freedom Riders of the Civil Rights era.
- To modern day anti-racist, social justice advocates.
And for you to suggest that their efforts, the dangers they put themselves in, their sacrifices and their standing arm in arm with Black people during our ongoing struggles for freedom, justice and equality is of no significance is still what we know it is...a falsehood.
