Out of all the threads I have seen in the last 12 yrs or so, this is probably one of the most inspiring ones I have seen. For homegirl to do a 360 turnaround like that, I'm like damn. I'm not saying porn is the worst thing in the world you can do, but to go from that to being a doctor is pretty remarkable. I work with doctors all the time whether it be med students, residents, fellows or a practising physician so I know first hand the dedication and laser like focus it takes to become a doctor.

The article is dated in 2010 so she must be like in her last yr of medical school or a 1st year resident. Given her past, it will forever be out there and it is so hard to shake that when trying to move forward in life in a field that will make her very visible to the general public.

I won't lie I work in the medical environment and even though there odds stacked against her, I 'm pulling for homegirl to succeed though.

As someone above stated, there is no excuse for where u are currently at in life and one day wish to be in life.
