Certain companies signify "the end" for some performers because they are known for hiring people who are drug-addicted in the industry. Not every porn company is some wholesome, fun-loving happy, safe place to be. There are companies out there that are bad business but they will pay talent when they need a fix. When you see certain companies shoot a performer in scenes that are borderline illegal, its a logical conclusion to draw that the performer may be over and done. You don't usually see women go from normal porn to degrading porn and then back up but you often see women go from "glam porn" down and they usually stay down or leave the business afterwards.

When something is "staged," whether it's wrestling or a movie stunt, it doesn't mean the performers don't get bumps and bruises. But it's still "acting." Porn always involves REAL contact and real bodily reactions, but the encounters/scenarios are NOT real, nor are the motivations (or attitudes) behind the particular activities depicted real either. The more convincing (or natural) the performers' reactions to the "staged reality," the better. They WANT to get folks like you mad. Congratulations.
