They already did spinoffs, a whole show and a movie right after both called City of Men.
It was good, I think I downloaded it off of Limewire or something back in the day.

Man, this is one of my all-time favorite movies. When folks talk about the best gangster movies I always say CITY OF GOD. The illest part was how Anjelica was a seasoned actor. The rest were kids from the favelas
I hope they didn't fuck this up. It looks good though. I wonder if this will pick up from when The Runts were running Rio. They mentioned it at the end of the movie when their little bad asses were making their kill list.

Great Movie. I dont think it needs a sequel and as bad as movies have been post-pandemic, I have my reserves.
After watching this I will take a good look at it. Might be the first mini-series I have watched in a long time.
