Fellas, this cryptocurrency thing is getting mo' real for me after this meetup I traveled in MD rush hour traffic to attend.

Need to know what hardware wallet you recommend and why?

Do you have different wallets for different coins?

Hopefully this ask doesn't offend anyone and send me to the official page where I could find it after 300 pages in.

Thanks in advance for the info..

ledger nano s as @Mrfreddygoodbud mentioned...it allows you to hold a wider variety of coins than the trezor I believe...it’s backordered til the end of march tho...do NOT buy it from amazon or ebay only directly from the manufacturer as it could be compromised and your investments can be stolen

*edit*

trezor supports 9 native coins plus erc20 tokens...ledger supports 26 native coins (which includes every coin supported by trezor except namecoin) plus erc20 coins

You can buy a trezor off of Amazon but make sure it's an authorized reseller. Otherwise that's your ass

I hated my ledger blue initially but I love using it now since it integrates well w/ other wallets/exchanges...I ordered 2 nanos as backups...nano is cheaper but it has better security features

the price...I got lulled by the touchscreen...nano s is a better purchase...plus the nano s has added security features the blue doesn’t have...it has added passphrase protection...the ability to change your PIN and make it longer...can’t do any of this shit on the blue even tho it’s 3x more expensive...but hey it has a touchscreen (ok I’m getting tight again lol)...ledger said they plan to add those features to the blue tho @ some point

only if you can’t get the nano s...I’d go w/ the nano s for the reasons mentioned above...an android phone is still a cheaper/viable option but the ledger products are far more safe to use

What do you mean a android phone? Like as a short term wallet until your cold wallet gets in?

some tokens have official wallets created by devs on the same project that are available in google play store...neo neblio eidoo come to mind as examples...links to these apps should only be clicked on directly from the project’s website to ensure it’s directly supported by them as opposed to 3rd party apps that do not let you control the wallet’s private keys...it should be a phone dedicated for use as a wallet meaning there’s no phone number associated w/ it and you turn on/use wifi sparingly (primarily to deposit and withdraw tokens not searching porn or w/e lol)...but yes a cheap android phone could function very well as a short term wallet depending on the tokens you have and whether or not there are mobile app wallets for them...eidoo is a pretty good wallet for storing ETH and erc20 tokens

speaking of porn...you have a link to your avatar or know the chic’s name?

After flashing firmware on my phone without backing up Google Authenticator I was locked put of coinbase for over a month waiting on them to disable 2FA so I could recover my account... I immediately sent BTC to my Exodus wallet, but I'm dragging my feet on sending ETH & LTC to Binance. It looks way too complicated, doesn't just say "wallet" where to send shit..

right now its the go to hardware wallet..
