As far as the fight it was highly entertaining and dramatic so it didn't disappoint in that regard.
But I have to be honest I am disappointed seeing Garcia win the fight in that way.
He's clearly immensely talented but obviously isn't dedicated to his craft.
If he was serious and listening to his corner he could have ended that fight in the 6th round by simply using his jab and not smothering his own punches which allowed Haney to hold on.
And his response to that was to keep pushing him down and then to punch on a break resulting in a point deduction and gave Haney time to recover.
Also, that referee did an awful job tonight by allowing all if the holding, excessive rabbit punching, and Ryan turning to his side. He should have deaded that in the first couple of rounds when it was clearly already out of hand.
Also, in those weight classes (140, 147) he's going to be facing people with actual power unlike Haney who will punish and really hurt him if he continues fighting like that.
People saying this concerns me.
That was a great fight but nobody should be crediting Ryan with giving a great performance at all.
I also forgot to say I'm pretty sure Haney's jaw was broken in the 7th round (I'm not sure if that's already been said or discussed.)

If Garcia were able to win I would start going back to Wednesday bible study.
Garcia won because Haney let his pride get in the way. He stepped into the ring so it is what it is. Garcia has never been champion for a reason and clearly outweighed Haney.
Haney should win a rematch but has to make sure he and Garcia are playing the same game.
So do you agree that Tank’s win over Garcia wasn’t fair and square because they dehydrated Ryan?
I like Garcia, he seems like a good dude; I'm glad he won. Plus, I wanna see that rematch with Tank.

Would be an interesting fight...Matias is a take one to land one type of fighter...I wouldn't be so confident that Ryan can't beat him...Ryan fast as fuck and he hits very hard and he will land shots on Matias
