LeBron James, Patrick Mahomes have no interest in paying to keep their Twitter checkmark: 'I got kids'
Patrick Mahomes wouldn't let himself be talked into paying for Twitter Blue for his teammates.

Man, ain’t nobody leaving Twitter. Folks been saying it since he took over. Empty social media threats.
it was free. Fees are taxes. Expect a revolution.Man, ain’t nobody leaving Twitter. Folks been saying it since he took over. Empty social media threats.

I've been using it MUCH less. It's just not as good an experience anymore. Any trending topic is quickly taken over by bots and trolls. I haven't picked up usage on spoutible yet tho.

The goal was to get the advertisers to leave. Sorta like when the Lincoln republicans left the south. Then Jim reigned for 100 years. The advertisers have left in droves. That's why he's coming up with these dumb ass schemes to try to make money.
What really has happened is people have realized that Twitter is not nearly as important as it thinks it is.
The goal was to get the advertisers to leave. Sorta like when the Lincoln republicans left the south. Then Jim reigned for 100 years.
The problem is you want Toyota to “stick” around when they were the first corporation to fund republicans after the insurrection. We are out chea begging corporations to stand up for us. The good thing about not having a memory is that you never really remember the ass whooping you just got. It gives mastah an opportunity to try to make a lasting impact.
For folks to finally stop using en mass, its going to take (1) a viable, REAL alternative and (2) for the main folks in whatever niche one follows to go to that alternative. That's what it really is, ppl are still their because of the exposure it allows.
But celebs, sports figures and content creators are slowly using less, if not leaving. Musk seems to be making the platform more unusable (not to mention undesirable) day-by-day. That combined with advertisers bailing I don't see how any of this is sustainable business for the long run.
I'm just saying what happened. I don't give a single fuck about what happens to twitter. I'm not begging a single corporation to do anything. Fuck Elon, Fuck Twitter, fuck them corps.
I go on Twitter mainly for funny shit. That's about it.
I use the web and I'm not seeing this.
Edit: the graphic is popping up in the middle of the page for a hot sec if I do a refresh.

Follow- June 7 (Reuters) - A federal judge on Tuesday gave a Black former elevator operator at Tesla Inc (TSLA.O) two weeks to decide whether to accept $15 million in damages over racial abuse at the electric car company, far below the $137 million a jury had awarded.
U.S. District Judge William Orrick in San Francisco said Owen Diaz identified no controlling question of law to justify an immediate appeal of the reduced award, which includes $1.5 million of compensatory damages and $13.5 million of punitive damages.
Diaz alleged that his colleagues and a supervisor subjected him to a hostile work environment that included slurs, caricatures and swastikas in his nine months working at Tesla's factory in Fremont, California in 2015 and 2016.
A jury had awarded Diaz $6.9 million of compensatory damages and $130 million of punitive damages last October.
Orrick reduced both on April 13, while rejecting Tesla's bid for a new trial. read more
In Tuesday's order, Orrick said he was "firmly convinced" that the jury award was excessive, and that allowing a quick appeal "would further delay resolution of a case that is already five years old."
Lawyers for Diaz did not immediately respond to requests for comment. They had said a question of law concerning damages for emotional distress justified an immediate appeal.
Under U.S. Supreme Court precedent, punitive damages typically should be less than 10 times compensatory damages.
The case is Diaz v Tesla Inc et al, U.S. District Court, Northern District of California, No. 17-06748.
Damn, dude should have taken the 15 million. How wonder how much longer his lawyer is going to keep his case.![]()
