I haven't watched football in years but pleasantly surprised at the rise of the Black QB. I'm old enough to have experienced the joy of seeing Vince Evans, Doug Williams and Randal Cunningham. I remember racist CACs saying that we could only be running QBs and had to rely on athletic ability because we didn't have the mind to be starters on winning dominant teams. I don't take for granted how far we have come. I think the Coaching position is next. The changes at the Collegiate level will benefit coaches who can connect with players because players are no longer "stuck" and beholden to the coaches.

Yep. I was a major Raiders fan who had season tickets and never missed a game. IMO Terrell Pryor could have been an NFL starter at QB but he didn't get the support and forced to switch to WR.

I knew this day was coming very quickly to the NFL because you have a lot of black quarterbacks who could grow and also run quickly at the same time. With some defensive lineman, you got 350 pound guys will run in the 4s…. With that case, you need a very quick quarterback because his office of only hold out speedy big guys for a few seconds

Yeah as a little kid I remember Randal Cunningham, Warren Moon and others like Rodney Pete but they were never considered the best.

The difference is that Blacks finally got the opportunity to play QB in little league and not forced to play other positions just because they were athletic
