While I appreciate Poland's effort to approach China for assistance, I think Poland actually played a very bad hand in this game. How so? It actively encourages Zelensky and the west to ramp up the war by being the most vocal and most willing contributor of weapons to Ukraine. Ukraine wouldn't be in the bad place it is in now if Poland and a few ex-Soviet states such as Lithuania and Latvia, saw this as an opportunity to inflict revenge on Russia because of the past. Obviously Stoltenberg is way too toxic to talk to China because he is a loud mouth war monger. Maybe Poland might be a chance for China to wedge NATO ?

Latvia and Estonia are to receive German-made, high-performance radars as part of the Baltic countries’ effort to upgrade their air defense capabilities under the European Sky Shield Initiative.
Defense electronics manufacturer Hensoldt will provide the additional technology, worth more than €100 million (U.S. $108 million). The company will also integrate the TRML-4D radars into the IRIS-T SLM air defense systems destined for the two customers on behalf of Diehl Defence.

In France, the wheat harvest has fallen to a 4-year low due to heavy rains. The incessant rains have caused the worst damage to wheat crops in years. Crop forecasts are downgraded due to lack of sunshine as well as moderate temperatures favoring disease growth. Soft wheat planted area in France this year is also down 10.8% to 4.2 million hectares compared to 2023.
