Funny thing is, later in the interview he says something about K Hart and how people dont think he is funny. But says somebody likes those jokes. So he doesnt hate on Kevin the same way. And we all clearly know Dave is funier.
He almost had a good point, If he would have just narrowed it to a black perspective.

True. But if you really think about it, the Chappelle show was a hood classic. That shit wasn't necessarily geard towards white people. It was a pretty hood show. Or am I wrong?

Daves popularity stems from his fucking greatness. The guy is brilliant. And he manages to be embraced by all demographics.
I lot of black folk didn't know who Chappelle was nor did they think he was funny before the show. He came up working in front of mostly white audiences before that.

The thing is comedians like Dave and Chris Rock take a certain degree of intelligence and maturity to be appreciated.
Faizon has always come across as someone who is ignorant and not very intelligent so I'm not really surprised by his opinion of Dave.
I don't even think its hating I just think Faizon seems to embrace and even take pride in the worst of us and particularly in individuals who represent the worst of us so therefore I think he isn't capable of relating to a comedian like Dave.

Now that I watched it, I'm not mad at dude on this one. He's a little crazy but who ain't? He's pretty even handed with his opinions. Dave Chapelle is popular and liked by many of us but if he don't like ALL his shit,no problem.

Dave worked the comedy circuit heavy bro. Thats how he came up. He was doing stand up with name brand adults since he was a teen. I get what you're saying. Im just saying it isnt accurate as talent trumps all. There have been numerous black celebs/actors/comedians/entertainers that have had a significant white fanbase yet still dont reach a modicum of Daves success. The guy is popular because hes in the conversation of GOAT in his chosen profession.
