Food: Louisiana kinfolks, there’s a discussion about who has the best food Laffy or Da City?

Lafayette got more hole in wall Mom and Pop joints... New Orleans does too, but the popular restaurants get more of the appeal... Like Port of Call use to be, mf was waiting in line for a burger and monsoon

I pick both... Shit Lake Charles got some spots too

yup!....one of my favorite spots right there

i usually hit the one in metairie
I hit the one in Covington most of the days I was there, but I did hit the one in Metarie. Both were amazing.

I admit, I usually hit the hole in the walls which are usually better than the touristy spots, but I was happily surprised with New Orleans foods and spirits

Cool...

Bout to put yall on some game..

The locals go to a place called cajun seafood up on claiborne...good cheap southern style cajun food. Next time you are there stop in and get you a plate...

Real new orleans home cooking right there.

New Orleans food is pretty good, but from Lake Charles to Lafayette, the food just hits different.

Bro as much I’ve travel that way, I probably ate in that area three times….

I went to the golden nugget and the buffet…
was really impressed, I second it to Harrah’s
For as flavor, I’ve been to a number of casinos and Harrah been tops.
The world famous buffet @ the Rio in Vegas had them on variety but Harrah in New Orleans flavor is the standard.

Now I’ve stopped in Scott, a shitload of times. That was to get boudin but that kinda don’t count

This shocked me. Having drive-thru daiquiri spots and them daiquiris were not weak. That was shocking.

flipping fifty

I was surprised, but New Orleans food and spirits had damn good food. I was expecting the equivalent of tourist food, but the food was amazing. I went several times during Mardi gras

Got so fucked up off them Daiquiris in Baton Rouge that I had to check my sugar levels. Scronggg too.

I thought they were weak sauce... At first. Boy was I fucking wrong.

So I drive and take a couple sips cuz I was eating some gator I just picked up. More than a couple sips into it I was like this is really, really happening? I had to back up off of it and set my cup down like Snoop Dogg said

Don't forget the cracklings!!

Allot of people move around and take their traditions and cooking with them and pass it down
I hate to say it but we’ve been gentrified so much it’s watered down
My grandmother and my tetee Dorothy (RIP) had a small shack by the over pass on mlk that outsold Popeyes and church’s chicken across the street
Not saying white fools ain’t NO but it don’t hit the same
