Little info on Dynas for ya'll that don't know of 'em.......dude been around for a minute.....


The Apartment boasts production from DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Spinna, Dilla and features the guest vocals legendary rapper Slick Rick on the track “Family Jewels”. BBE is pleased to announce the September 28 release of The Apartment, the sophomore release from talented south Florida-based Hip-Hop artist Dynas. This organic Hip-Hop release is the real deal packing smart lyrics and spot-on- -production with practical and lyrical collabs coming from DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Spinna, Dilla and the one and only Slick Rick. Dynas’ artistry is head and shoulders above the normal Top 40 music landscape.

Noted for his ability to visually depict urban tales with melodious harmonies, The Apartment was constructed during and due to the ups and downs Dynas had living by himself in his apartment. It is a coming of age manifesto of sorts. For many young people, their first taste of freedom of expression and adulthood develops in an apartment. Dynas left the nest and found both heaven and hell at the same time out on his own in his apartment. “I developed a sense of self while dealing with the opposite sex in my apartment. I have survived and overcome struggles while living in my apartment. I have worshiped, gone to war and made love in my apartment. It was my cocoon now my spirit flies through sound waves,” Dynas says.

Originating from New York City and born of Caribbean parents, Dynas sites a variety of influences in his music. He has been credited as a true master of ceremonies able to rock a crowd of few to many. He has hosted / performed with the likes of A Tribe Called Quest, Nas and Wu Tang Clan and collaborated with Def Jam recording artists Slick Rick and Universal recording artists Big Gipp of the Goodie Mob as well as Masta Ace.

Dynas has been produced by some of the more progressive beat architects in Hip-Hop. He has worked with DJ Jazzy Jeff, J Dilla, DJ Spinna, Tony Galvin, 9th Wonder, Illmind and Sol Messiah to name a few. He’s released music, as well as been featured on, Beyond Real Recordings, Counterflow Recordings, Metatronix, ABB Records, Papa Records (UK), AVX Records, Dusty Vinyl (UK), Handcuts Records (Japan), Rawkus Records and his own Badgramma Records imprint; an urban independent label committed to the advancement of local South Florida artists.
