i was in elementary school when Baby Im Back aired. i remember it being on for only a few weeks then it was cancelled. i LOVED True Colors....i was in my late teens or early 20s when it was one.

didn't like Sanford Arms, Grady was okay, what's happening now launched Martin Lawrence's career. the Sinbad show SUCKED (but Salma Hayek looked good in it) Redd Foxx croaked on the set of The Royal Family (didnt like that show anyway) and i thought the kids on Tracy Morgan's show MADE the show. i wish it did better ratings.

My favorite sit-com of all time....Frank's Place.

It only lasted one season...the network must have changed it's time slot at least twice,so it never built a following.
It took place in New Orleans, had great music...and no laugh track.

Starred Tim Reid, and Daphne Maxwell Reid...who was fine, fine, fine.

It's never been released on DVD...guess there are all kinds of issues with the music.

man i don't even remember sinbad show tracy morgan show was funny, it just goes to show that sometimes things that sound good in premis don't follow through like they think they would i mean for every cosby theirs a million others that don't come close or limp out the gates and everyone wants a spin off hoping to find the same success of the previous show but very few do so

Tim Reid's Linc's was even better. It starred Steven Williams, Pam Grier and Golden Brooks. Aired on Showtime from '98 to '00.

I was just tellin' my girl the other day that ninja Ray-J been around for a minute. A lot of people don't realize he was in that Sinbad show and was doin' things even before Brandy blew up.

Ya'll forgot "Homeboys in Outer Space"

Also there was this one joint called "The Show" Had dude who played Bruh-Man from Martin in it. Was about some rapper or musician. Can't remember if it was any good. Think it only lasted like one season.

Out all night, with Vivica A. Fox and ole boy from Boyz in the Hood.

In the House, with LL Cool J, Alfonso Riberto aka Carlton from Fresh Prince.

The Sinbad Show, Sinbad lived in Oakland Calif.

Chico and the man, wasn't really Black but hey. At least it wasn't another white sit com back then.

Eve. Eve the female rapper had a wack ass t.v. show too.

Malcom and Eddy. Malcolm Jamal Warner and Eddy Griffen were roomates in Missouri.

Grown Ups with Jaleel White--i.e. Steve Urkel from Family matters. I really liked that show and was pissed when it got canceled.

Meth and Red show with Method Man and Red Man... I think everyone knew that show was going to get canceled. I was surprised that it made it the four, or five, episodes that did air.

Most of those shows I remember, never knew Grady had his own show. South Central was the shit, but it was just to real for the mainstream. Jlo was in one episode if I remember correctly.

J-Lo was a regular supporting player, and she was the one who became the breakthrough star as a result of it. Got a network contract and had a couple of series developed around her that never took off. Went into movies after her CBS contract expired and exploded from there.

Brothers with Kadeem Hardison and them.

Fox tried to create a few vehicles for D'ondre Whitfield's career. I can't remember any of their names.

Damon Wayans had a joint on fox where he was a cop. I used to like it.

Here's a few gems:

Probably the reason NY Undercover will never be released on DVD

Dang, you got me on most of these. Many of these were either so short lived or they did not air in my part of the country. Nice idea for a video series, huh.

Yeah, these would made a nice DVD Collectors Edition. Even though they may have only aired 5 or 6 shows, more than likely they recorded many more. GREAT!!!:dance::dance:

I remember all those shows in the original post, though some of them only from rerunning on BET (Grady, Sanford Manor).

Here are a few more forgotten ones...someone else can look for clips and shit

THE NEW ODD COUPLE - starred the actor who played Lamont on Sanford & Son and the black guy from Barney Miller as Oscar and Felix.

THE REDD FOXX SHOW - I think this was the name, not sure. It had like 1 season in the 80's (probably not a full season)

CHARLIE AND COMPANY - Flip Wilson sitcom in the 80's with Urkel (before he was Urkel) as his son.

Another one I can't remember the name of from the 90's that starred DOUG E DOUG and FLEX as high school kids...
