Damn Texans really need to stay off the roads when it gets cold.
Happened years back, the city caught major flack and spent more money on infrastructure and maintenance. I think this was when Abbott first got in with that bootstraps talk, Texas is kinda known to be mad cheap and the roads got pure ice since no one expects texas to get that cold and it did and it was on.

That was only a small part of the problem. The school leaders decided that they knew better than the weather folks, and decided not to close the schools until it was too late. When they finally decided to send the kids home, you had thousands of people on the roads trying to get to the schools to pick their kids up. That led to hours long traffic jams, and some people eventually ran out of gas. Hence, the abandoned cars.Sounds like what happened year back when metro Atlanta got like 2 inches of snow and it was revealed they only had 1 or 2 snow plows for the whole area......
