Sadly enough "Black" people feel the same way you do. A music form created from cultures unique to "Black" people in here in the Americas. Born of life experiences, influences and so much more. Yet there is a notion that at a time when you have even more to say from experience you are considered an old rapper. Rock Groups don't get that stigma and some of those dude are septuagenarians.
To me the notion is ridiculous and harmful to hip hop culture. Not to be confused with rap music like Nikk, tekashi & McLamore. The white devil run rap industry wants harmless studio gangsters to work with. So we will continue to get music from new young dumb rappers glorifying sex, money and murder in the hood.

But if you still don’t have it. Rappers get washed like fighters and athletes. There is a such thang as too old for the club and too damn old to be rapping or sangin. There are legends I’ll still go see IF they can still bring something. Bitch look like a robot police with those Honda Civic sized shades on. Can’t cape for over the hill acts. I just can’t.
I have to say that there use to be at least some respect shown to the old guard. I think things started to change up around Chief Keef era in 2012. You don't hear rappers really paying tribute to the rappers before them anymore. It's a shame and it is a way that the history could be rewritten or lost.
It's true for instance the older one gets and wiser it is respected in genres like reggae or calypso/soca. You won't hear people tell someone like Buju Banton to go sit down somewhere and stop making music. His trials and tribulations are actually an accolade respected.
Hip hop at its root though started as something going against older and more established genres which in turn made its appeal about being youthful and anti-establishment. It has become a double edged sword as pushing away the veterans has led to no leadership and rules/regulations like other genres follow to keep the integrity of the artform. Lord Jamar and Rah Digga asked the question of whether rap should have a hip hop government.

Though I do agree that Rock Groups aren't as stigmatized,
Most of said Rock Artists are still putting out new material and touring.
And since they are playing instruments, many of them tend not to look silly as they are still doing their thing up on stage, etc.
Same with Jazz and Classical artists.
Even older R&B/Soul Crooners.
But older Rap/Hip-Hop artists just seem silly to me now.
