These btiches think that they're Cheryl Miller! You ain't no Rebecca Lobo, Teresa Witherspoon, Cheryl Swoopes
or even Lisa Leslie. Those women passed the torch down to you all. And you failed. You didn't get better.
The women before them did it all without social media. You have it in the palm of you hand and don't know
what to do.

I know Candace...there won't be any WNBA for your daughter.

There IS inequality in men and women's sports and I'm really tired of people LYING about it.
This narrative that men and women are the same is a flat out LIE.
Its okay that we are different. There are only a small but organized minority trying to convince the world otherwise and the only reason it even gets entertained is the fact that the small minority tries to guilt, shame and bully everyone into pretending to go along with it.

That said, I saw that story and they did those women wrong. They should have equal accommodations and amenities.
While we all know that men's sports drive things financially, that was a gross under-accommodating of those ball players. A lot of them take what they do just as seriously and they have an audience, too.
The bottom line is that if you can't afford to accommodate both teams, then you shouldn't be hosting games. Get ya money right and then get in the business.

That is some foul shit. But the NCAA is known for making one bad decision after another.

Yes, the women don't generate the same income as the men but their games are all nationally televised and they do have an audience.

They deserve better.

they should show pics of black public schools books, computer rooms, teachers than compare it to cacs.. if you not upset about that than you’re part of the problem

They should show what starving children overseas have to eat and compare it to rich kid dinners.

WTF? Why is everything a competition? People can care about multiple things.

Those pictures came from athletes. Nobody is stopping you from documenting other causes.

The first block of text has nothing to do with this-- Nobody is claiming Lisa Leslie could have played in the NBA. It's a strawman and a waste of time.

The second block is totally correct.

BOTH are correct whether you like it or not.
I don't take directions on what to speak on from anyone. Relevant or not, I said it.
I spoke my piece and then jumped back on topic.

Well, as long as you admit it was off-topic and irrelevant...

"Burger King's International Women's Day marketing campaign was well-intentioned and the backlash was unjustified. Relevant or not, I said it." :dunno:

Equity. Women practice, train, play as hard and long as men for their sport. Their families sacrifice and allocate resources just as much as families as boys do for sports so...facilities, meals and treatment should be equitable across board.

The argument of men’s sports bringing in more money doesn’t fit for this because we all know, those boys aren’t really benefiting from the money they generate for real and on top of that, the gifts and the quality resources shown are mainly marketing ploys.

This comment is easily applied to both men and women

People watch sport to see THE HEIGHT of human drama, in the form of physical prowess, displayed on a level playing field.

Bitches ain't the height of nothing except nagging and having babies.

Weight lifting companies could donate for publicity and a tax write off.

Truth be told the men's side is actually weak also. Not as weak as the women's by far but that is not even a descent college weight room.

It comes down to simply mathematics.

Who has the larger viewership, has the larger following, is better promoted and makes the most revenue?
It's no secret that in sports; finances, resources, infrastructure and fandom are universally geared towards men and male interests.
And although there has been significant strides with regards to acknowledging, accepting and catering more towards women, this will NEVER change.

FACTS.

Once you factor it that the NCAA is the same company. The same entity at the same location hosting the same event.

They literally had to go out of their way to give the women a worse gym and worse food when everything is at and coming from the same place.

Agreed

it’s like the NCAA buying the whole hotel out and give the men’s all the suites and give the ladies double rooms to share.

it’s classless. Sexist and racist.

Plus all the people talking about profits generated by each ignore the critical fact stated in the OP that the NCAA is a non-profit institution.

This shit is stupid as fuck. The NCAA is a non-profit so the women's players should have the same facilities etc. as the men regardless of how little their tournament makes. As for the pros, they are delusional as fuck. G league plays the same 12 minute quarters as the NBA but they travel by bus and commercial flights/don't have the same lodging as the NBA teams. Is this some sinister plot or the fact that nobody is paying 4 figures to see the Westchester Knicks et al ? :smh:

Tennis has equal prize money because people actually watch women's tennis. A random HS tennis player isn't about to embarrass Halep, Osaka, Serena like they would a WNBA player or women's soccer player. The "Lebron" of frisbee golf isn't making "Lebron" money despite probably having better tv numbers than the WNBA :smh:

The women's soccer players are on that shit too. They earn more than the men but it still isn't fair because they negotiated a bad contract and the men didn't? :smh: They also lose to random HS boys teams and only win the World Cup etc. because other countries never had title ix. For example, it was literally illegal for women in Brazil to play organized soccer until the early 80s. :smh:
