For what, everyone knows what they did and it wasn't that serious cause they were being paid.

Another tactic of the music/movie business
They were roped into a situation where they had to lie or get paid nothing, it's a human dilemma before morality or fame & riches. So it's a good story to be told about hard choices, frustrations, human fragilities, personal triumphs, and pulling one's self up from the depths.

I saw the documentary and thought it was done well.

But now, with a biopic, I see what they're doing:
They're trying to normalize fraudulent activity of the past by telling the story in a time (the present) where being fake is celebrated and rewarded.

Yeah, the cac was at the nucleus of it all, but them two dudes knew they was deceiving the world and wasn't the "victims" that the surviving one makes them out to be. But hey, you know people love a good victim excuse these days. :D

This retelling is okay for lots of people, but I can't do it.

nah his point was everybody should have got it
not just them. the record label clay davis and he is right.

and his other point is the music industry became fake
britney spears was biggest pop star and cant sing
and we can name others
lip sync became the norm at one point cause they suck

i never understood how they just dropped them like that
specially at time when there was no social media
but thats a different story

Believe me, I know exactly what he was trying to say. I just don't rock with it.

And those kind of comparisons are not valid to me. Can't sing and not singing at all are two different things. (Think JLo). We used to call bullshit out, not just shrug and say, "well yeah, everybody does it."

My point is and always will be that the normalization of fraudulent behavior shouldn't be a thing.
But this thread will prove that it is.

it is valid tho
they could sing thats my point
were they luther vandross, no.
but they could do something
they just never got the chance to do so
thats why i named britney and yes jlo too
cause they used a lot of technology as well

im not excusing them but he aint lying when it comes to that part of the industry
