Shit you watched Married With Children for social commentary? Shit made me laugh but it wasn't as balanced as Fresh Prince to me.

Married With Children would be up there too. It would make my top 5. Martin and Fresh Prince are locks too. I guess it also depends on when you grow up. People from the 60's and 70's would probably throw some of those older shows in there too.

I'm gonna agree only because that last season of Martin sucked. Married with Children gets mention too.

Yeah Martin gets fucked over because of that last season. Shit was terrible. I know Gina and Martin was having their problems but they should've canceled it then. Martin didn't even seem like he gave a fuck at that point.

Just saying people always post some scene with Will Smith and his father or Uncle Phill like it was suppose to be deep or had a impact on society when it did not.

Not that Friends bullshit......not that Seinfield boring bullshit.....Martin the funniest sitcom of all time but no other show was this good.

Friends was just a rip-off of Living Single which was canceled despite great ratings. The reason? Cacs liked the Living Single format and story line but the wanted it to be with white faces. :hmm:

Yeah I don’t know about that. You might have older but those scenes definitely had a impac on 40 year olds and below. Hell just read the comments.

Shit I’ll be honest. I don’t like Living Single either but it wasn’t nearly as boring as that Friends shit. My goodness. That and Seinfeld....throw that Mash shit in there too. People love them but I can’t even get past the opening credits.

"A different world" had the most impact on my life and is my personal favorite.
but i wont argue with fresh prince being the best overall.
co sign 1st few seasons of martin and married with children were funny as fuck too
That is another good one. It impacted a lot of lives. I know people they said they only went to college because of that show lol. I can see why people would say that. I sometimes forget about it sadly.

Anyone remember South Central?
I remember. That shit had potential to be one of the best all time right there. I still look at them on Youtube sometime. Its crazy that Moesha worked but South Central didn't. I think it was even by the same producers if I'm not mistaken. I guess had it been on UPN it may have stood a chance to at least make it past a year.

DAmn so basically if Living Single was on UPN or WB it would've stood a shot at not getting cancelled. I think all them Fox shows were cancelled that's not his list.

It was too real. There were only like a couple of episodes that aired. It touched on real good shit. J-lo was on it too.

What about the George Foreman show?

Man I was too young to remember that George Foreman shit. I Definitely remember it was like on ABC or some shit.....I can't tell if it was bad or good.

And yeah it was real but a lot of subject matter they had on South Central they put on Moesha from what I remember. They lost the single mother aspect of the show though.

That's the thing about all these networks they want to reboot shit that already did well. Get some balls and reboot some shit that was prematurely cancelled.

Yeah, Fresh Prince is my favorite sitcom of all time. Just the way every plays their role so well, like they were born for that role. The only knock is the way they replaced Aunt Vivian, but other than the show is pretty solid from pilot to finale.

And IMO, Uncle Phil is the one the greatest paternal figures in TV history. Growing as a black man into his 30s, I have so much respect his character and the way James Avery played him (RIP).

South central was a fox show. If it was on upn, it def would have lasted much longer. Might have not been no moesha if it was successful.
