I'll delete this post tomorrow, but those of us with home computers and kids in college need Microsoft office, and Microsoft 365 which is on most computers that you buy from the store only lasts one year

Even if you have Microsoft office on a computer it might be who you to buy an extra copy of this just in case your computer dies or you have to buy a new one for yourself or your wife or your kid in college or something because when somebody needs to do a paper or You need to send them a PDF They need something to be able to read it with.

Add the word PROMO inside the promo area to get an additional $1.50 off.

Office 365 is just one year. You buy a computer and instead of not putting office on the computer at all, they put office 365 on the computer so it lasts one year, and after 1 year you have to buy the full version.

Here is the full version for $22.

These are forever versions. I don't care that they are old versions, they are forever versions. I would opt for office 2021 over Office 2019.

But there ya go.

It is office 2021, but what's the real difference? We all need office on our computers anyway and 2021 is still recent enough to get the updates and everything

Microsoft Office 2021 support will end on October 13, 2026 for both Windows and Mac, and there will be no extended support period. After this date, Microsoft will no longer provide critical security updates for the version, which could leave confidential data vulnerable to security threats.

I need that microsoft outlook which I don't know if Microsoft professional 2021 would work since it's not a upgrade one. Microsoft got me paying a year for 1tb storage.

I might buy a copyright now though I don't need it because when I bought office on Black Friday I got it for three computers and I've only used it on one computer so far.

But if I buy it now I can give it away to someone who forgot to buy it. Worst case scenario you can do that. Best case scenario is it solves your Outlook problem

You're right, I was only concern because it was 2021 instead of 2024 but it should still work regardless of the year.

Office 365 and Windows is starting to use more of the cloud by the default, which means your document is stored on some server at Microsoft that can be accessed. We need to encourage using these platforms that allow you to switch up to Linux without issue.

Microsoft almost took local use of Windows away completely.

Office 2021 is the normal, stand-alone version. it works and works well. despite what MS is saying about support, they always support after the expiration date plus they are just gonna release another updated version


Office365 is the same version as the standalone office2019 but all the updates are done automatically, it's cloud-based so like email, once you logon into your account your files are always available but the biggest difference is MS gets you by getting you to pay a subscription monthly/yearly vs the one-time fee for the standalone version.

I personally prefer the standalone version because I don't want my file living on MS servers.
