Halloween, trick or treating? What do you think about it? Do you let your kids do it?

People are kind to strangers 3 days out the year: Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. The rest of the year people basically tell others to fuck off. On Halloween, not only do they open up their door to strangers of all Races Creeds and colors, they do so when people have costumes on.

Halloween is a particular favor for me. My father never let us go trick-or-treating as kids so I have been going trick or treating since I got out of the Navy in 99.

And I'm not just a grown motherfucker begging for candy, I get in full costume, I unleash my scary voices (one of my voices is like the insecticons from Transformers, but I also have a low growl and snarl that scare the fuck out of kids, parents and dogs.

I don't give a fuck.

Nobody comments about me being too old to trick-or-treat because they're either scared or too busy laughing which is fine with me. I say trick or treat and thank you at every house and I have a motherfucking blast. I don't have kids, so I roll with my best friend and his kids. This year I got 12 pounds of candy.

The next day at work I go around to every desk in my cubicle jungle, say trick or treat and let my neighbors take their choice of candy (re-gifting)

Its cool to dress up. I have no issue with it. I took my God kids, nieces and nephews through the neighborhood and a few blocks over. It was cool a few neighbors gave out full size candy bars.

Sadly after a few snickers and twix candybars and a starbursts im done with the candy. I saw a lot of cool costumes this year. I got a few ideas for next year.

My kids love that shit. I don't turn that shit into a job like my parents did. "Do more streets!!" Shit isn't that serious. It's about dressing up and having a good time.

Not even about the candy for my kids, they just like the experience. First time for my youngest daughter who is going on 2. Kids should be kids.

But if I had children I wouldn't ruin it for them

Like Christmas I have so many great memories and I wouldn't deprive them of such possible memories...

This shit is fun as hell for me. I got over 12000 steps in last night, my legs and hips are still hurting from all the walking I did and just two measly hours.

I feel great though. Going to various co-worker's desk and saying trick or treat and watching their eyes light up like they are kids again. That's why I do it. For just a small moment everybody is a kid again

In my area Halloween is a dying thing....not at all like when I was growing up.....now all you see are a handful of trick or treaters ......I don't even get candy anymore !!!!

I didn't see any of this. I went Saturday in Akron in the Coventry Crossings loop of neighborhoods. I went yesterday around my home in Medina. I saw no beef at all. Everybody was having a good time

No doubt. You were in person. I'm talking about social media. Same type of people smile in your face will snap a pic of your kid and post it on social media and talk shit.

I saw online where Kim Kardashian was dressing up as different people (she even did Cher) and some folks bitching cause she did Aaliyah.
