yeah it was straight I like the concept.

Yeah it took a lil time to grow on me but i think imma be catchin it err week now.

Also I could not stand how they portrayed the black female costar 
I'm sure we all know someone like that but black woman acting completely ignorant for no justifiable reason on television shows is an all too common trait.

I actually got annoyed because I couldn't figure out if dat's how dey actually wanted her to be portrayed or whether da bitch was just a bad actress dat was over doin da role.

It was the white "southern" gal (Anna Paquin) who was way over the top with her fake-ass accent. The show is a CARTOON. It's meant to be a dark comedy. Get da message, fool?

But i guess that's the way they want the chic to act. I'm gonna have to see that shit. Some says its about her age though since she's 34.

1. She is prettier than Anna. RARELY do you have characters more attractive than the star when the star is supposed to be considered the "sex symbol" of the show

That's bullshit. Cast members often change between the time the pilot is filmed and the start of the actual series. Kerr may have not been satisfactory or may not have been available to continue.
Rutina Wesley is a decade younger and made a solid impact in the Canadian indie film How She Move. She's a well-trained actress, with a good look for the time and place.
The series is another one that obviously deals metaphorically with bigotry, subsituting anti-vampire bigotry for anti-gay, anti-black, and anti-Semitic bigotry.

Other than that the show was kind of slow. Why is the waitress telepathic? Are we going to have to wait 4 seasons before they ever tell us? I'm not sure I'm ready to invest my time into another show that spends most of it's time in mystery....

the thing that got me about her telepathic abilities is for whatever reason she was unable to hear the thoughts of the man and woman who rushed up on her before they jumped her in the parking lot.
Even with the mystery laced within the show, I still think the series is worth tuning in just on the intrigue and fresh concept alone.

I like the show but I just hope the other vampires in the show aren't weak like that one dude was. How the fuck do two human hillbillies trick a vampire and then hold dude down with (Silver necklaces?) to drain him. Shouldn't he have been able to beat the shit out of both of them before they could do that?
