Not gonna work out right. Amazon is too greedy. The hobbit didn’t live up to the hype. And Tolkien is far more legendary than Bond. It’s corporate greed that expects a product to to constantly be churned out expecting constant customer satisfaction. See what happened to marvel under Disney. Some things can’t be rushed. We don’t need 4 different bond projects per year. It ruins the allure.

If Amazon was smart. Do something different with the franchise.

A good idea is too expand the James Bond universe introducing the other agents. I believe there was supposed to be 5 agents in the original novels, with 007 as the most senior. Hollywood had the numbers fluctuating over the decades in the films.

Have it that they all have different and special skill sets for particular missions.

Bring them together for a ensemble film.

They bout to fuck it up just like Disney with Starwars and 20 million spinoffs. As formulaic as Bond was. It's an easy thing to fuck up too. Aside from the MI6 mainstays(Q, M, Moneypenny) there wernt many mainstays other than Bond himself save... Jaws??? Sheriff Pepper??? Felix Leiter??? Blofeld??? The appeal of the franchise was the event like atmosphere around the movies, but before the Craig ones, none of them really ran together. This is one of those things where the lore is there, but no one looking to get a return on their investment is gonna do it right. They just gonna pump out subpar shit and run it into the ground. We've already seen it with Marvel and Starwars. Don't have the highest of hopes for it.

Amazon actually has a damn good recent track record with the boys the spin off reacher jack Ryan and fallout and Mr Mrs Smith, invincible etc

And the 2nd season of Rings was an improvement on the first

I would definitely give them the benefit of the doubt based on all that.

Never made it to season 2 of rings of power, they missed the boat by too wide a margin for me to give it any more time after season 1 but you're right as far as them handling other properties well, reacher and fallout are definitely good and The boys has been pretty great and gen v was very enjoyable as well, also enjoyed a few other Amazon originals so not all hope is lost lol

Ill just speak for myself. I love the franchise. Bond is my favorite character of all time. Ive used the Spectre logo as wallpaper in every car that had a screen in it. The franchise is why my favorite animal is an octopus, I even have an octopus ring(not like the Spectre one, but that was the intent) It's hard to give these companies the benefit of the doubt that they see something they acquired the rights to, from the family that started it as anything more than something to squeeze profit out of. Now, Amazon may have hits under their belt. But Bond is special to allot of people. Special beyond its just entertaining. I've seen every film atleast 5 times. Even garbage ass Quantum!!! To me. Bond falls into the category of more isn't better. The mystique goes away when Bond shit is everywhere. It stops being special. So my fear is Amazon is gonna want ROI with the IP, and they're gonna dilute it. Even if they do it justice, by the nature of having more content out there it's gonna impact it. I can see a James Bond Jr reboot now. :lol: :smh: :hmm:

I respect it. I'm a big Bond fan too used to watch them with my Dad happiest moments.

I respect your concerns and its normal. But I think its a waste of energy in this case. amazon been solid so far. and HAS the MONEY.

You don't want the franchise to lay dormant.

It has SO MUCH untapped potential.

I would love a young Bond just starting out earning his )) ranking and training.

A Spectre series from the POV of the villainous organization especially a new recruit.

The OTHER 00's on other missions.

A Q series a Moneypenny series

I agree. Old Bond wouldn't fly. I watch Thunderball a few weeks ago. The scene when Bond sees Domino diving for starfish and he say. "I was just admiring your form. Most women poodle about, but you swim like a man." Yeah. That shit can't fly today.

You raise legit concerns as a fan. But I think based on the existing evidence?
