Hughes "Uncle Redd" Van Ellis, one of the last three known survivors of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre, has died, according a family statement. He was 102. Ellis died Monday night in Denver, Colorado. He was also an army veteran

Talking about, if you looked at my life and see what I've seen.

He was probably too young to remember being too much of it, as this happened when he was about 4, but damn. Maybe I just hope that he was too young.

May he finally rest in peace. His life was way harder than it should have been.
